Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 16:57 on 22nd October 2012 They took the word laptop from the above post peggy and have it highlighted I see, underscored twice. If not an firm looking for futuretrends in the world, it could be advertiser's also doing this. They are just now in an couple of days releasing "Microsoft 8" computers to the retail stores for sell. It makes for reason we would be having an rash of computer problems right now perhaps? Marjorie...actually we don't fight as much around my house as you might think...this is maybe arguement number four between my son and me... and he's in his late mid 30's. I get in attack mode more easily if I'm hurt or in pain. I feel better this morning. Pain is still there where they put the general location of the stent, but very lightly. So it may just been an case of stretched muscles..let's hope. I really can't take to many problems right now with my hubby off work from an knee replacement. Had this happened to him yesterday..it most likley would of killed him...in the condition he's in right now. All great people in the world are under adveristy most the time...it comes with their responisblities they endure in life. I bet many of my problems look like child play compared to say the President's right now. It is seldom change is made in the world these days by only smiling your way through the day....nice though that you can be allowed to smile now and then though. In my estimation...most of us are working to hard for what little we get out of life these days and need to re-evaluate what should and should not take preceedence in it. I wasreading about an couple living in New York recently...both had veryprestigeous jobs...drove new cars, had an nice big house....and they gave it all up...they said they felt like rats in an cage rolling around everyday to have the things that most people of their stature had to claim and somewhat succesfful lifestyle. They gave it up to move to rural Canada...and work for the forestry department in the summer time as forrest guard station lookouts for forrest fires...and the rest of the year lived off the land and sold some of thier produce they grew They gave up both new cars...weren't paid for anyway...and bought an older used Pick up truck...and one older economy car. Paid cash for them...no more debts. They had kids and they had an good generator where they lived in Canada, and an computer...the kids got thier education through the computer rather then going to an from an school daily. So she seldom needed moneyor time invested in her child's education until they got older. They land was quite fertile ground...they had an tractor that did multiple tasks for them. They had an root cellar outside thier home.A well for water...and couple wood stoves and fireplace to heat the house with and all the wood they needed to use at their own homestead. Medical services if they needed them could be flown into them within 15 to 20 min..they all knew how to use an rifle if needed fro protection also. They vacationed at her parents home every winter in New York for an month...usually from Thanksgiving through Christmas and returned to their house at the start of the new year. They said they they could finally "live" like people rather then computer driven robots in life to the services and needs of others. They don't boast the $300,000 year income like they use to have but said they lived an happier and healthier and more family knit kind of life with less consuming debts over all...and greater security....because they didnt' need to impress others for the money they made at their jobs. They bought enough land to have thier kids live near them when they grew up...the closest neighobr was an couple miles away from them also. She said she was no longer living off her daily "adrendalen" everyday to make it through the day and felt great. Problems and challenges they still had, but nothing they so far have not baeen able to deal with easily. She thanked the world of communications for keeping her within an minutes away mode but not on her door step otherwise. Through her computer there was nothing they couldn't really get ahold of that they wanted to buy. Her hsuband an her told her story and sold it to one of the survival or living off the land magazines for people to read and of course you know many of those people these days start thier own blogs for advise to other people might want of do an simliar thing. This is what I meant about re-evaluating our life styles and if they fit our purposes these days any more. Someone told me one time that it was man's idea to "work"..not God's..his idea was to live comfortably with what he gave us and provided for us on his land. It is an drak and raining dreary day out...but we have but only to look outside upon flaming orange and gold and green pine trees to knock out the dreariness of the rain...and start of up warm roaring fire to chase the chill away. I'm happy in doing that...talk to you later on. |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 01:18 on 23rd October 2012 Ok James...just got an phone call...this is Dr. Litt's office and Jeff and he wanted me to let you know that all your tests look good except that you an bit low in your blood glucose readings. Just stay on your diet and eat right and things should work out. You can call the doctor for any more information. Ok..who the hell is "Jeff" and no last name?????...hum...how much higher were they good and what did they read...as I have to take in an copy of this to my dentist this Thursday...before he will do surgery...I need the dam lab test myself. I signed papers to have on sen tdirectly to my house...where is it. Calling me up and telling me to stay on my diet...gives no information about the testing that was done. Esp in reguard to the previous testing that was done and Cherl Tidball is also asking for an copy of the Lab report also...she's my primary doctor giving me the diabetes medications...while he's giving the heart medications...they have to do this work in conjunction to make for compatiable results in my health issues. But she is willing to let him lead the way...except that my health insurance and Providence are squabbling these days and Prividence decided to drop Health net as of Jan...and Health Net sent me out an form that says...that's fine...don't worry we provide services for 10 of the downtwon Metro Portland Area major hospitals and have 5,000 health providers in the metro area as well as 50 hosptials across Oregon...so feel assure your in good hands with our services and we are here 24/7 to back that up in tlaking directly to an person and not an computer generated message. I take my blood glucose readings every day...they are right in line to being acceptable by the American Diabetes Association as "normal" readings. Now. today.we just bought hubby an newer car...an Buick...we went back to John's place again...he's an mechanic that also takes in occasionally other cars to fix and sell...we got our 108,000 miles car loaded with all electric seats, air, keyless entry, one owner...CD and tape .. radio player, ABS brakes," on star roadside assistence" availabilty, I think built into it maybe.. and an warranty on the major part of the car for the first 1,000 miles, all leather seats and we should get... with the same engine as he sold us in the car prior...about 30 mpg. in gas....for...$4,450...we paid cash for it..from an card we can borrow up to so much money on in reguard to our house refinancing loan....so now we can move onto later on...replacing the truck...which I know is going to be more costly if indeed we haul scout supplies for the Scout outtings...he's going to need an decent vehicle to do that one...but for now..this replaces the car that won't run when it heats up. Plus its newer...2003, white on the outside and kind of an beige/gray inside....in comparison to being "New" we easily saved ourselves possbily over $15,000 in automotive costs. Which we have so many bills right now and housing needs to be meant that this is just peachy keen with us for the time being. This guy has an really excellent reputation so far...20 years back on his cars and howwell they work in time. Not exactly an electric car...but they got those for sale at Tuesday Morning for $199..sports car..and bright red. We have spent the rest of the day getting insurance on it and keys made..did you know a "key" to an keyless entry car is now $30 an key...prices are astromical these days on anything that's an necessity. So...now I can lay back and enjoy "Dancing with the Stars" until I go see goofey at his clinc and find out who is "Jeff" and where's the Lab report. I have two days before an early morning dental appointment to get this straightened out..and hubby has leg therapy one day also before the dental appointment. I have now been one year trying to get this tooth taken care of. ONE YEAR!.... I go for now. |

Mind you here it takes longer to fix because many of the people in the call centres don't understand English. I hope all is well with you all. |
Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 23:52 on 23rd October 2012 Ok..just tried to post leslie in earthboppin.net and the highlighted words went from light blue to either red or orange red....but the post never went through to her. They are the same color as the word "New Posts" here in POE. No more light blue. How is everything going today?...I got my lab tests back..you know they can never be 100 per cent perfect you know...wouldn't need an doctor if they were and they are NOT about to alllow that...I might be able to have some money to live on if they did. We are enjoying the car..showed it to my sister in-law this morning...she's not looking to good healthwise. She says they won't help her (doctors either)...I don't know who the man was and what he was doing there this morning. I think I saw him before there as her "uncle" or someone, but where he came from is beyond me. Anyway, she's waddling through life on crutches today.I didn't stay to long. Dancing with the stars...did you see the lady judge go down like she did, reminded me of my fall last Sunday...and the host kind of made things into an funny statement...but am glad she's "OK". Kristie Alley looked fantasic last night...and I can sympathize with her trying so hard...it's how my dieting goes most the time. It's just over- whelming at times the effort I put into it all. I hope she succeeds....though not sure she will make it to the very end in the dancing, but am willing to give her an chance. Scout meeting tonight. Hubby can take his new car...pick up his grandson maybe. Oh...back on my lab tests...blood glucose they had 7 points over from being to low...Cholestrol 133...range is 108/199....but get this one..Trglycerides were 268 ...almost double what they should be and HDL..cholestrol 28..to low ..should be 40 to 125...and was one point under on my sodium...but my postassiun was normal. So it's still an screwy kind of an lab test and it was not what this guy called named "Jeff" whom said he was from Dr. Litt's office, said on our message telephone..I have never known an "Jeff" at Dr. Litt's office helping him out. At any rate had an sheet faxed to the Dentist office. Should be some interesting talking going on my next doctor's visits. I've never known trigycerides to be high and cholestrol to be low at the same time. I think when I was about 95 per cent dead...they read at the time of that lab test something like 1200 ...normal is 26-149. I had them normal within an month after that operation. Anyway so goes...and I look forward to the evenings show of "Dancing with the Stars" and I understand that "X-Factor" got thier show renewed for the third season also. Some good news and some perhaps not so good news. I don't hurt today for an change...that's good news. I did my five laps in the neighborhood walking and I've done 15 mins on the stationary bike and plan to do 15 mins in the floor excerises and with the Ab workout device. Talk to you all later on....Have an good evening. |
