My hubby tossed our male cat out the door last night and went to bed, he brought her back to the door at 12 midnight, I let them in...slept in late today though. So now I'm behind or barely keeping up. Nice day, but the air feels dry and dirty. I still have to go out an walk in it all though. so guess I better get going...have an good day everyone. The weekend is upon us again. |

Decided to visit the Buddist Temple in the nearest town for a photo shoot! Gorgeous place, wonderful oriental architecture, colours and paintings. Fascinating. Really enjoyed the peace and tranquillity and the melody of the bells everywhere! Hope you have all had a great day too! And I wish you a happy weekend! |

Lousy weather today; cold and drizzly. Now let's see what does that remind me of? of yes, that's right - Blighty! The day looked promising early so I put the washing machine on. By the time it finished its cycle (37 minutes) it was drizzling so the washing went out anyway and there it stays until its dry. Maybe tomorrow. Have a great weekend all. Oh, by the way if anyone feels like reading a very amusing book about 2 "elderly" tourists bumbling their way way around Ireland go to www.lulu.com and search A Bumbler's Guide to Ireland. 6 Pounds + postage. Good night. |

He is off his diabetes medications and still works on getting every ounce of fat off his body. It is true...you can't hardly recognzse him he has changed so much in looks. Even then in his blogs people are giving him discouraging reports of gaining twice as much back and just over all garbage...doesn't anyone these days give someone thier blessings they beat the system? He said he did this for his 5 yearold son...so they could do things together as he grew up. I guess he now hosts the show "The price is right" on Tv.. I found this website for receipes called Sparkpeople.com...it has them low carb, low calorie, and low fat. My 1948 Maytag washer, with the wringer on the top of it sets outside all the time. It's an antique I bought from an lady in westside of town...but it needs the electrical motor on it repaired...it use to work when I first got it though. Tub swished back and forth..then you turned an knob to shut it off and turned on the wringer up top and put your clothes through. Then hung them on the line to dry. Took the little hose down to drain the tub when finished. I had inmind that maybe it would be an nice place to plant flowers out back in the tub. Then again, I think it would be neat if it operated again like it did in 1948.... Year I was born. I started today closing down my garden...as pityful as it was, but Idid get about 6 decent sized zuchinni . Handfull of cherry tomatoes. Have some grapes I can cut an make into golden raisins also. Moved some flowers about. I'd be surprised if I had any potatoes, but havent' checked them out as yet..my blackberry vines are dying off now also. I think it's basically to dry right now, even with the occasional watering ourselves. I have this receipe to share with you for an Pork Cabbage Soup...I think it was an Asian guy that was sharing it...but anyway...takes 1/2 head cabbage, 1 pound of pork tenerloin, cooked and shredded with an little of the South west Seasoning...they recommend using an crock pot to do that. 1 can of diced tomatoes..didn't say the size...probably large can though...salt and pepper to taste...more Southwest Seasoning...2 cups of chicken broth and 2 cups of water. To your pre-made pork juices...add water/broth and bring to an boil, add the chopped cabbage, more Sw seasoning mix and cook 10 mins, add the pork and the tomatoes and cook until the cabbage is tender. It makes supposedly 6... 2 cup servings. 202 calories per serving. It is an low calorie, low carb, low fat soup. If it makes 2 cups, it would be an filling lunch option I think...and one you don' t necessarily need crackers with it either. It would probably be tangywith the South west seasonings, that is most likely cumin and chili powder and some garlic perhaps. It's probably adaptable otherwise to anything you might want to toss in it also. Weight watchers use to add an dry packet...little at a time of Ranch valley dressing to their receipes like this as it tamed them down an bit to be being to hot or spicey...gave it an slightly creamy taste...I go for now. |
