Evening all. As James says, its quiet tonight.

I am a bit tense. The family from Joburg set off to come here at about 3:30. Usually its an easy 5 hour run but there is a lot of traffic and the foulest weather imaginable. There is also, for some strange reason, a shortage of petrol the other side of the mountains so they had to search for a garage with petrol then queue for it.

It is nearly 9PM and they are still about 2 hours away. I shall only relax when the Volvo purrs up my driveway.

Hope all is well with you all.

Hoe true James...got an surprise this morning when the daughter in-law showed up and decided to come in to kill some time...making an freindship braclet for her daughter. Last day off before she starts classes next week.

Hope you people show up Syd...three's some fighting going on around some mountains over there I was reading about recently. Maybe concerning  Libya? Last O saw they had Obama's face asthe head of an dog and pasted on an US Flag they were burning. I doubt it helps their cause any... but at least it gives them something to do.The world's "hired" mercenaries like this kind of stuff because its an promise of an paycheck maybe. Last thing they want is anything peaceful going on..it makes them "un-employed" in thier line of work.We can only hope for the best over here...as the common people do not have any say so most the time over what our Government does these days....rather people agree or disagree with the policy makers over here. I hope they understand that. Get thier anger out and go about changing things constuctively for the situation at hand in an decent manner.

I brought up this thing yesterday about my aunt Joan..because if anyone in the family would of had diabetes..it would of been her..she weighed in most her life in the 400 pound mark and was quitetall also...as all my grandfather's kids...about 5 foot 9 or so. If anybody carried this over into our family...she would of been the cause on an spiritual level. I knwo nothing about Ira Jordan's family...his known legal son though was getting "chunky" as he aged the last time I sawhim and more so he suffered from acne something bad in his years apparently. Joan reminded me of King Henry VIII in ways. So it does no surprise me to see her naming an son Richard...because it's not an name in my mother's side that I can see of so far. Herhusband's name was Val Dean Hiatt...old enough to be her father but I guess he was good to her. .She did things to me that made me thinnk she was not the most brilliant mentally...but everyone is getting that aways these days from all the good leadership we have..that isn't for th emost part.

The book went into the last third of it, and is apparently the third reincarnation of "Gawen" from the first pages...he's still being this time sworn by the current High priestess to defend Britannica to his death again. Hate to say this, but the book is getting an bit trite to me now. Same ole subject in an way...but will see how things go. I would assume it will end with his third death perhaps...or else they finally work things out...and from the sounds of things I doubt that one.

My glucose readings were high last night...brought them down sharply though before bedtime by asking my hubby to walk the block outside with me, which he did. Hour an day now for my excerise and I showed my daughter in-law that my scales indeed say I have lost 30 pounds since mid-July..and the cardiologist. visit. That's what I am told to do, to low..little bit of orange juice..to high..need excerise.Streets were wet again this morning also..fog I guess.

I go for now..hubby has to go an pick up my grandson from an after school dance I guess tonight. Hum. Talk to everyone later on.

How James...not hoe...I see my words mispelled these days...someone wants an "hooker" I think at times or is associated with one "Stephanie" sounds like she was made into one also..and yes, I think of "Joan" as the true "Whore of Babylon" in life.  Always money associated with them you know. She was biblcally "John's" mother, and he fought that in the temple of Harrod...but that is not to say she didn't pick up on it from the need of money. Jesus si supposedly "povery ridden" and living off the land...though he marriedinto an wealthy family supposedly. Was there ever an "Whore of Babylon"...hard telling..think it was more of an idealism then an actual person...and used by the churches for control of their source and need for money also. We have an lot of athest's coming out of the wood work these days concerning it all. They say what we ultimately believe in... is what we were taught as little kids. Sufferenough and there will always be an "God".

Glad everytging was "OK" Syd with the family.

Tonight finds me setting up my coffee table with part of my Holloween Town LeMax displays...I decided that if hubby takes his  leg healing into week three,,,hope not... but you never know until we go through it then...well, that's Trick or Treat.. Holloween evening. Might as well do this now and be done with it for an while...front of this table will have the pumpkin candy and the Crunchy Batwings..for any vistor's that stop by.. I do not expect hardly anyone out thsi year with this falling on an school night...mid-week...I deceided to keep things simple. Really simple this year. Still have some outdoor stuff..but maybe by the end of the weekend it will be set up enough all I will need to do is plug it in.

News was not cheery tonight with everyone in the middle east protesting against us..makes me wonder why we buy their very expensive oil. It's nice to know someone can get out and about these days even if it is protesting.

Still have bird feeders to put up outside the window downstairs so we can see the birds from the inside..eating outside. Drives my cats bonkers, but it at least provides even them some entertainment over winter besides sleeping all day long. Oak trees are dropping thier acorns pretty good now...and I think I have an larger squirrel that is showing up also. Oak trees are still green, maples already turned though...everything is starting to drop leaves. Find it hard to think we are almost at the end of Sept now. Still buying odds and ends for storage this winter every time I go shopping...latest was an gallon of wesson vegetable oil and an box of 24 quarts evenlopes of dried/powdered milk....good until 2014. Not buying as much as in the past though...can't afford it now that I'm on social Security. Just said today that Oregon leads the nation with people on food stamps. I can't fugure out what I'm doing wrong...I've never collected them in my life. Maybe why others drive newer cars and go on vacations? I go for now.....Have an good weekend everyone.

Bad glucose reading this morning...even after an 50 minute walk and trying to figure out why..been on the same diet routine...it read very high at 192 and not suppose to get over 140 maxium...you'd think I had drank an bottle of of liquor/ wine or something, but I did not. I will have to ask my docoor why this came about. At any rate I feel very incoherent also...so will go for now. Have an good day everyone. See what "spirit attachments can do to an person.. when they are not good.
