Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 18:36 on 19th September 2012 Just finsished today's walk Cathml...and this morning all the young school girls were out there with thier mothers....clocked in an 47 minute walk in an fog that settled in over night..and rela light one though...was able to breathe easier. Ok..the book..our now reincarnated Gawen, Roman Commander..savior to Brittanica....met his own people in battle an won..now he is the country's Emperor and our Avalon priestess he took as his wife the Queen. He has an problem...how to rebuild the land with not enough materials, money or men. His own countrymen are now successful and won't do the work. So it is he decided to see if he could recruit some outsiders from Germanina...and in that even analiated his wife even more remembering she was nearly raped by one of them... before the High Priestess burned him to death with her magic. the High Priestess of Avalon also returned and said that what he was doing in hiring "foreigners" would not help give the people an sense of pride in thier own country..it was wrong. She goes to the local spa with her younger intiate the Queen...who stubly lets her know also that she's the Queen now, don't ask her for any help..she already gave up her life and happiness in being an wife. So it looks like Avalon is in trouble and so is Brtianica. Will have to read to see what happens. I see this morning that France is closing down thier embassies..now that's an money saver and an half if they partying over there like they do here in the USA. I wish them the best. Obama has not let down his going places and doing things for some time on public funds...and he is but an nil " tip to the iceberg" in that one. The money he makes off one speech would let my family survive without any debt for several generations. I assume though when they give, they also expect "favors". Where as any politican makes those that they earn their wages from receive tossed piece meal least of anything possible. They just can't see that either..they are so far from the real people they serve these days...doesn't make an difference what political party they belong to either. We have been divided between the have's and the have not's. The crooks, the thieves and honest decent working people. I go for now...I found my Native American Pumpkin candy receipebut suspect it's not entirely correct. ..as they never really give to much of any secrets away as epople leave them with nothing for the help. But it says to take one 5 lb pumpkin and cut into 2 inch by 4 inch strips after seeding it and peeling off the outter skin...then soak for 12 hours in an tablespoon of baking soda..and enough water to carely cover the strips. Drop the pumpkin into boiling water and par.boil until tender but not soft..and dip pieces in an ice water bath..lay out on cookie sheets...mix 5 cups of sugar with one cup of water and boil for 10 mintues, add pumpkin strips an coat with syrup on simmer and keep doing this until they turn brittle...spread out the strips to dry.May be stored when cool. I though ti f would go well with the recepie I gave you all last year on the macaroni bow ties made into an spicey hot snack treat also. I have to go an find that receipe again also. Pumpkins were 29 cents an pound yesterday for the sugar baby types that make pumpkin pies. Talk later on |

Cook the pasta, drain well and blot pasta dry with paper towels or napkins....Combine the corn meal and the cajun seasoning...toss pasta, an handful at a time in the mixture to coat and shake off any excess. Pour oil to an depth of 2 inches in an dutch oven and heat to 375 degrees. Fry the pasta, in batches, 3 to 4 minutes or until golden....drain on paper towels...will store up to an week in an air-tight container..makes 6 cups. (An fun substitute for potato chips) |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 03:58 on 20th September 2012 Shes an God send...thank you Cathyml...I've been looking all over for it today. Now I can make some pumpkin candy to go with it this year. I didn't cast any spells on the recipe Ron!...it wasn' t my spelling this time. I had an voice today though come to me...in my head...telpathically..it was sounding like an young girl about 10 years old...she said..."They won't feed us!"...then I lost her. Where it came from I have no idea. At any rate...I went to see my grandkids tonight, see how they were doing...find out the oldest has been down two days now with the diareah problem that my grandson had Monday and myself over the weekend. Just tonight I seem to be back to normal again in ways. I still took some groceries out them though. With their dad getting home late and thier mother working constantly I never know if they have enough to eat in the house, they have called me before saying much the same thing to me, will you go to McDonalds and get us somethign to eat?...and an lot of it depends on if he's working full time also. I can get things so much less having the time to go an get it during the day...for instance Galia apples...cooking and eating type....at "The Barn" they were 99 cents for 10 pounds or more...at my local grocery store..discount...$1.28lb....where the kids have to shop in Sandy...$1.79 lb. It makes an impactl on their food budget dollars and the quanity of food they can buy. My frozen dinners also have an free food program going on them also....you call in with the number they give on the package, and they will donate something of equal value to feed the homeless or low income. Just as most cake box tops will donate school supplies if you keep the tops off of them also. If you don' t have an lot of money to at times contribute.....projects like these help others just the same. When prices get high...for us it's simply leaving the food out of our diet..cause we can't afford it on an limited income. I went around and around with "Albertson's" in Milwaukee one time..an small town SE Portland....they have an lot of low income people...and they were selling TV dinners 10 for $10....and most of them were noodles...I said to the manager...why don' t you get in more dinners with meat in them/veggies...so the senior citizens can eat meat instead of flour for their nutrition...so how did they remedy the situation...decided to go out of business in the area and make them pay higher gasoline prices to get to another store. All the dinners were the same price, reguardless of what kind they were...Scumbags again...and they chose to put themselves out of business...and you know why..bad service. Its hard telling if thier senior citzens have any decent food to eat these days. Maybe they expect them to die of mal-nutrition or an illness from lack of decent meals. The shame of our country these days. I felt like telling this man I was behind tonight at the grocery store as he bought two cases of wine and three bottle of it...why don' t put the money into something better nutitionally...but I didn't. I'm not against having an occasional glass of wine now and then with dinner. I'm going back to reading for right now I think..thanks for having that receipe Cathyml...so far I can't find the book. |
