Hi James and all POEsters...

Equally cold down here, and a good layer of ice on the car windscreen to get rid of before the journey could commence.

Hi all!  The overcast skies continue and it is cool - expecting rain/storm later!  But I can always hope it will blow on by.

Wishing all POE members a great weekend!  Be happy!

Respectfully, probably due to lack of maintenance Peggy and not because you wouldn't want to do it, just for the want of being shown how to I suspect.

Have you emptied the internet cache lately, defragged? Do you scan on a regular basis, have you done a quick scan, or a full scan? You see, so many things to have to consider, and it can make a big difference.

Bugs of course do damage also, and you can pass them to others so do you have an anti-virus in place (I hope so).I use Microsoft Security Essentials it's free too!

Ah yes chaps, maintenance, maintenance & more maintenance.

Disc clean up, defragmenter and clear all recent history including clear the cache in your browser. Should keep the system running sweetly.

By the way by using Firefox and Thunderbird for the last 6 years I have not any worms, trojans, viruses or any kind of malware in either the PC or laptop - and that is without using anti-virus software which I hate because it slows the system and isn't fully effective anyway. The only time I got a serious virus in my PC was when I had an anti-virusprogram loaded. While the software was updating a nasty thing sneaked past it. I had to reformat the machine and reload it. After that I changed to Mozilla software, dumped the a/v software and have no problems since.

In fact my ISP advised me to avoid using Internet Explorer because Microsoft's codes have been breached far too often.

Just how it works for me for what its worth.

Have a good weekend folks.
