Good to hear you are on the mend Ron

I sincerely hope that Cameron gets his backside kicked out of Downing street at the next election with what went on yesterday.

What U.K.I.P.need to do is tell us what is in their manifesto for next years election. My local council is Labour, and in this week's local free newspaper,on the front page, were the headlines,"Shocking truth about U.K.I.P."

I t went on to list,

N.H.S. up for sale to private companies.Tax cuts for the rich, tax hikes for the rest, paid holidays and sick pay scrapped

Eye catching,to say the least, but any party which implimented those changes would be commiting political suicide.Do I believe it,of coarse I don't and I think it is the local Labour party scaremongering.

When political parties resort to this type of thing they are getting worried, and some people might believe it,and some people will want to believe it.

Hi George

All my voting life I have voted Conservative but to have a Prime Minister that sends his congratulations for two men being married is an afront and insult to all the truly married people in the world, that take place in many instances under the eyes of God.

I consider it to be an utter disgrace.

I have friends that are within the remit of the subject but in my opinion this is a step too far.

Neil,

I voted Labour all my life, and as a member of the working class, thankfully retired,I should be voting Labour;however their stance on not giving us a vote on the EU. and an open door policy on immigration has changed my voting,I could never vote Conservative,so UKIP for me.

Live and let live but the "marriage"between two people of the same sex is completely ridiculous, what I want to know is if they "divorce"will one man have to pay the other man maintenance.Strange times we live in,I wish I could wind back the clock fifty years.

George I share your sentiments entirly what worries me is the fact that the wealth gap is increasing year in year out.

We all need to eat and somewhere  to live, we are informed that the situation is on the mend but politicians should not forget the less well off in society.

To do so would be at their piril.

Neil, you have hit the nail on the head with saying thatpoliticians should not forget the less well of in society.Lord Warner,I have never heard of him until today, says we should all pay £10 a month fee to use the NHS. and £20 a night hospital stay;this from a former Labour health minister.I am sick and tired of the rich telling me,a poorer member of society what is good for me.

 How is life in Spain?

Hi George

We have now been in Spain for 12 years and have settled down to the way of life, like everywhere else property prices have tumbled but in saying that they were over inflated in any event

Prices by comparison are lower here than the UK for example

 Fresh Oranges 3kg €2.50

Potatoes 3Kg  €2.00

Strawberrys 1Kg €2.00

Lemons 3Kg €2.00

Petrol €1.38 per litre about same as UK

3 course meal say Soup -Serloin steak - Sweet €10 .00

Gin and Tonic like a quadruple measure of UK €4.50 to 6 depending were you drink or as cheap €3.00 in some places

Last week I had to go to the eye hospital for a check up at 11.30 called for within 3 mins of my appointment had 3 tests a wait of 10 mins between tests then saw the eye specialist done and dusted 45 mins will ring you again in 6 months.

I am glad we came to live here had we left it any later in life then it would have been difficult we were 60 when we arrived.

Neil

UKIP and Nigel Farage was on television tonight, a great show and a lot of very happy people about, but there are also a lot of very unhappy Tory/Labour/Libdem MP's!

Did you get the message David Cameron.....the game is up!
