As expected and as forecast a fabulous result for UKIP in Europe and across England as a whole.

I'm going to bed a happy man and look forward to the rest of the results tomorrow.

Yippeeeeee!

Remember that song anybody? "It looks like a purple people eater to me" ?

The Farage 'Barage' has hit the UK but now we must try to encourage those who didn't vote for UKIP to do so at the next election, or we hand power to Labour!

C'mon you guys 'n' gals who didn't vote for UKIP - we can't all be wrong can we? Most of us want change and still the other three are in the river...denial!

23 seats for UKIP, Libdems (remind me, who are they?), heavy losses for Toffs and Twerps. Prediction...Clegg will resign after this, within 28 days I reckon.

Congratulations to Nigel Farage on a spectacular victory for UKIP, but now it's time for him to present clear policies on everything (not just Europe) to win over the British public in the General Election.

Clearly Cameron and Miliband are rattled. Clegg is sunk. Their policies have not won over the public. The message to all the parties is that they need to sharpen up their act.

I see Tony Blair is weighing in against UKIP, saying on BBC R4 'you look under that UKIP facade and you see something pretty nasty and unpleasant'

see BBC

This seems a bit rich from someone who misled Parliament over WMD in Iraq, which resulted in the killing of many thousands of innocent civilians.

UKIP was mandated by the British people, not by the lies of politicians.

I agree with you Edward and think he is pretty nasty and unpleasant. Wasn't he at one time being investigated by some group or other for war crimes?

The fact is that UKIP have stirred up a Hornets nest and they are now trying their best to undermine the fact that Nigel Farage and UKIP has been so successful.

All credit to Nigel Farage for saying he will never be part of the French National Front. UKIP have kicked backsides big time and change is coming now!

Edward,Ron,it seems the letter Blair wrote to Bush agreeing to go to war has been "lost, that man fully lives up to his name as "Teflon Tony".

Blair,in his job as "peace envoy"has certainly made his money,it was always said he was a member of the Labour party because the Conservatives wouldn't have him.Years ago in an American election one candidate said to the voters, apply the "used car test"ie.would you buy a used car off that man;imagine going to buy a car and Blair came to the door, that usual daft grin on his face, telling you the car's milage was a genuine reading and nothing wrong with the car, would you buy a car from Tony Blair?

Anyhow,it really agrivates me why politicians can't accept defeat gracefully, instead of "we will listen"and "we will act".

As I have said in previous posts,as working class I should vote Labour, but never again after letting all and sundry into this country to what amounts to "rigging the vote against the right wing",changing this country for the worst.

I think that is a risk worth taking Mick as all parties had to start 'somewhere' but calling us 'Little Englanders' is disgraceful, you should know better and as is said above Labour man Blair has made more money than you or I will ever see, let alone make, so where are the Labour values there?

There comes a time when one has to take a gamble, simply because we know the potential result unless a majority of the people vote for UKIP!

UKIP have rocked the boat this time, indeed have sunk the boat and may well do it again at the next General Election and then the Labour Party will go the way of the others, downhill...

As a matter of interest Mick please do tell us what Labour have done for you that makes you want to stand by them. Please do list just half a dozen areas where you think they have done anything at all to benefit the workers.

They opened the floodgates to immigration, which is now hurting the very people that you profess to support or be part of and there are many more 'mistakes' as well you know.

I might add also Mick that leaving the EU won't stop us trading with Europe, but it will allow us to trade with former close allies such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc

Time to accept defeat Mick and maybe, just maybe after some more thought you will change your mind and accept that this is the 21st century where we do things differently!

Nigel Farage has said he has no intention of getting involved with France and their National Front party, but that aside given the massive vote to kick the EU's backside, do you really think we can all be that wrong?
