Ron.  Please delete my account now.  I have no wish to remain a member of any site that functions as an advertising medium for UKIP, or in any way supports that party and their vile racist views.  I doubt you will have the courage to leave this comment on view, anyway, please delete my account.

The first thing I ask is,"What vile racist views"and next, this site is not "an advertising medium for UKIP".This site is for like minded people to state their views in a polite way,and if anyone doesn't agree, they have the opportunity to state their views in a polite way.

That is my way of thinking.

Absolutely spot on George and I agree with you entirely.

It's a shame that Mick couldn't just accept that some might not agree with his opinion, but there it is, we move on.

It wasn't so much his opinions Ron, it was the rude, insulting and childish way he put them across. I always thought him a bit pathetic, that's why I never bothered to respond to his posts. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, it's how you word them so as not to insult or belittle others.

Edited for spelling Smile

I didn't see any of the unacceptably offensive posts firsthand Ruth; but fortunately James was on the ball and he did what he thought was necessary and appropriate under the circumstances.

He has our full support. Thank you James!

James, what you did was correct and chivalrous. Rudeness and personal attacks on other members are never acceptable. Hence my reference to ad hominem arguments as being out of order. Rational discussion is acceptable, but foul mouthed personal attacks can never be justified and contribute nothing.

You are 100 per cent correct in what you say James and Edward.

Now back to business, I don't know if anyone has read this - UKIP demand more seats in the House of Lords.
