Good for you lot,,,and as for your walk's home,,well done !! i went from 1987 until 2005 without a car,,walked four miles to work each way, each day !! and everywhere else !! I was not here yesterday,,for at this time,,i was with 2 strangers, one a vet, saving a baby boy dear that had fallen into a frozen pond,,Our fire/rescue'ers were there to use a ladder to go in and pull him out,,the vet told us he could die of a heart attack, and needed to be kept warm,so,,,for forty minutes we covered him with all our blankets, and towels, and rubbed him vigorusly,,and i needed to go back for more,,was reminded of my hot water bottle(from a friend in england that was given to me for Christmas!) and filled it with very hot water,,brought it and it was placed under the little ones chest,,we all continued to warm him up, the vet said,,ok,let's see if we can't get him up and moving,,,we stopped,,stepped back ,,,a minute or two (wich seemed like hours) he leaped up stood there, looked at each of us,and made such a wonderful sound and then walked slowly to his waiting family !!! what a wonderful day..had to share it with such wonderful people !!,,( for in a way,, a bit of ol england helped save him!),A most pleasant Evening to all..... |
