I'm always dubious about whether all the money ends up in the right place as well. Some years ago I found out quite by accident that some of the Red Nose money was going to pay the council tax bills for people who were struggling to pay. I'm sure that's not right. |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 01:37 on 16th March 2013 It depends...I still say its cheaper to keep grandma and grandpa in their house paying low monthly fee's then it is to make them sell everything and move into an new apartment and the government pays four times more.... then what they were paying per month. I mean most of these houses considering upgrades... is still not as costly that an new residence is. Most nursing homes start at $3,000 an month...most houses if they are paid off are mostly under $300an month for property taxes...which are to high also. they are really inan bind over here...with constant reports of people being left to die in these nursing homes...they give up everything for...expecting better care. I can think of in the last two years at least three families suing the place they had thier elder family at for lack of negligence. My husband is out right now selling candy bars with the grandkids at the local retail store....I just got home from taking my sister shopping and trying to help her an bit today. Anyone want an $2 candy bar? Police out all over in force...someone stole one of their patrol cars yesterday....they were out on all major aterial roads to the town where it was stolen. Along with them, one on an motorcycle, one with an speed ray gun, and the third in an extra patrol car just in case it comes to an "speed" chase. Is everyone geared up for "St patrick's Day"? I just bought some irsh cupcakes and irish coffee cream and tried it out an bit ago. Here's my latest redition....in an 13 by 9 casserole dish...brown off an about an pound bag of tater tots...until they are firm enough they won't break up when baked...drain them an put in the casserole dish, ins an single layer....to an can or so of Maries Callenars canned chicken pot pie soup mix add an large drained can of white chicken...and one can of Campbell's cheese soup...and stir, you might want to add an bit of water so it's gravy like...I also added another two cups of cooked frozen diced carrots and peas...an bit of seasoning salt/pepper and pour it on top the tater tots...then went around on top with finely crushed ritz crackers and chopped ends off green onions...and baked it in an 350 degree oven for about 45 mins. When its done and it's cooler, you can invert the spoonfuls of the casserole and place them on the platte...so the tater tots are right side up...and use ketchup over them, with the rest of it down below. Any kind of meat would work well with it...or meaty type salad....Irish Soda bread also. It's an forgiving receipe to use what ever you want in ways. I told them it was my Marie Calendars "Irish" Chicken pot pie....because of the tater tots. You all have an good weekend now! I gave my sister an old cross I had in my jewerly case...not to expensive, it was hand made though. For one it is more SW American Style, with bands of green turquiose, black, thin red stripe.... and mother of pearl. Not to many things you see with the green turquiose coloration. They used silver chain with it also...rather then the yellow gold I like with the blue turquioise. She looked an bit despondent today to me and I thought if would pick up her zest to keep going again. Times are really hard for some of us over hereright now...they lie.... and hush it up most the time. It's an world between the have's and have nots any more. |

Back to my, sort of normal, self after traumas, dramas and Mike having yet another procedure on his back! Phew! It was like someone had knocked all my stuffing out! Anyway - back again and hoping to have a little more time to spend with you all. Looks like I have lots of news to catch up with - but meanwhile I do hope you are all keeping well. Sue - I haven't forgotten you and you have been constantly in my thoughts! |

I hope the storm season is over, it went on night after night and many nights we were left without power for hours! There hasn't been a storm for about 5 nights now - so I hoped it was safe to come on line again tonight! |

No problem finding all kinds of pictures but th eonly one showing the coast of arms is to far off for me to make out the "coats of arms"...some of them I know already probably. I'd like to know who they all were besides the "Scott" family and perhaps the Butler and Culpepper group. I believe that they may of had the Edward V, Planegent king suppsedly killed in the "towerof London" raising him...and is the lineage of our Massachusetts Edward Larkin...and so far he really doesn't have an "past" that is really truly defined. On order for that child to been hi-jacked out of the tower of London by the Olgesby/Oliver group...it wold of taken someone pretty high up to been assoicated with the "heiist" and the Scott family has it...besides they are already "protectors" for Robert Lawson in Scotland. Edward Larkin fammily married into the "Oliver" family here in Massachusetts. These guys along with the Planegent/Lawson group have been long time "Templar knights". they took refuge in Lewes Priory, and why the Roland Lawson line starts out with an Thomas Leweson for Lawson. Orlando was an nephew of Charlemagne...also called Roland., who with paladin Oliver rode with Charlemange..Oliver was the son of Ragnier of Genoa and the beautiful Aude. both Oliver and Roland were killed at Roncesville. Read all about it in an very old text...called Bulfinches Mythology..just so you don' tthink I'm making it up like so many people. I would guess the Larkin name probably came off King Luiusas sme time, whom founded Canterbury, Kent England. Asto the Scott family Not only was Sir Robert Scot Luietentant of the tower of London 1424, but his succesor of the family was Sir John Scott...compteroller of the household of EDward IV...high sheriff of Kent, Privy counciller, Lord Warden of the Clique Ports, Gov. of Dover Castle, chamberline to the Prince of Wales (Edward 5th, killed in the tower of London) and anbassadors to the Dukes of Burgany and Bretagne in 1473...he died in 1485...wasn't that the date the "War of Roses" started? ...his family succesor was Thomas Scott, Cardinal Archbiishop of York, Lord chancellor of England 1500. Istill have an bit of information to find out on this group. But I sure could use the coats of arms in that historical glass window. Said to be th eonly orignal one in all of England. William Scott go this land from his wife Joan, daughter of Sir John de Orlestone, died 1379, plus Brabourne church of St. Mary the Virgin. I can't see enough of the church to see if it has the "templar kinght" keystone in it somehwhere when it was built. It's got the arches though...and the niche for the heart casket...of which one was for John Biliol buried there at one time. My guess would be that they sneaked the child prisoner of Edward V out of England somewhere either in this area..or with templar knights out of Scotland. Gilbert Oglesby, Earl of Agnus was granted the Barnony of Ogilive by William the Lion about 1163 known as the Lords of Banff...Scoltand. I have two different sets of data on Edward Larkin with mention of being from Hertforshireand it's not to family "tradition" in my thinking...I have nothig tells me how or what they found out to make an second comment on Edward and again..no parents...nothing else. One says he married Joanna Butler..the other Joanne Hale. I go with what's been said all along...he came from Kent co., England. If he wasn't an Plantegent king..he probably came form King Lucis lineage...or the Lucus family...of Cantebury Cathederal. I am about done with this and roaming all over the place. Let me know if anyone has close ups of the church though please. Thye need to see if any of the stonesof the church are "magnectic" also, from what was told last night about the "Templar Knights" and their worship of "Venus". You know my ancestor...supposedly my spiritual past...now I'm my own grandpaas the song goes...had two oxen...one name bright star, and the other morning star....which is what venus is.. I'm looking for an stone made something simliar to an sort of tower, with perhaps an egg shaped stone above it...indicating "creation" or male/female... there are other things linked to it also. Bathroom getting it's second coat of paint today also...they made $147 in selling the candy bars in about 3 hours last night, but they said that there were people simply giving them the money and telling them to give the candy bars away for free. This was going on with the Christmas Tree recycle also. Many fo these people were at one time Scouts...and in our troop we use to have "Pete Carlson" whom for years owned the major Chevy car dealer lot in all this area as an kid scout...our troop is in ways an very old "Historic" troop in it's members. Our sponsor gives us our name...but unlike most sponsors has never funded our troop. That has been done in the past by the parents...or in one case...the Scout council for supplies. We have never been in it as an money maker. Even now, many of our older Scouts if they live in the country and have the room.. still allow our boys to "camp" on thier land...as they did for their Christmas Party this year over night. Kind of an Junior sort of templar knights in some ways all of their own these days..only "scouts. It is raingin here right now...so my kitty cat and I shared some quality time under an fuzzy blanket this morning..she likes to snuggle down under. Happy St..Paddy's Day everyone! |
