Looks like Richard isn't experiencing any Spring weather either, he's getting his snow shovel ready yet again. Just have to put the naked dancing in the suns rays on hold here for a while |

I earlier watched an young couple buy an house in Canterbury, England also...on TV. I liked the one they ended up with..and the price was fantasic I thought also for today's market prices...he was an photographer by trade...so now he has an entire attic for his work studio. Richard..I'm thinking of you...I've found out that if you are careful opening the "new" cans on corned beef...and leave the tab hooked on the lid top....you have an ready made Christmas oranament to paint and hang on the tree in 12 months. I suppose an "freebee" to the old time cookie presses that use to hang on trees as ornaments. Canterbury is defineatly one of granduer in this magazine also...I have read quite a bit about it historically with the Templar Knight's in buidling it...I guess what I should say, is thier principals of building....then I watched some more about it on the History Channel one time also. They had niches all over inside those arches in thier buildings and they weren't sometimes just for "heart" caskets...but sacred documents and other things. I really enjoy some of these magazines, another I use to like over here was "Traditional Home" also...more American styles...though some of the homes in it would rivel an castle. I like the tapestry hangings in the castles they use to do...there's not to many of them left...but they were such intricate weaving of pictures...you'd hardly know they were not wallpaper instead of fabric...esp the hunting scenes in Libraries most often. Everybody else just looks at an house/castle and says...gee whiz, that's so big!..here I am going through the artwork, the fabrics...the lay out of the windows...and anything I can find unique in style...checking out the flower beds, the dishes...the lighting...the carved woodwork and so forth. You just never know where your going to find history also, with people buying older churches, school houses and what not these days. Makes my day!. Traditional home use to do an article on sister city's such as Monetrey, California and Monterey, Mexcio....in comparison and how one was named after the other...and the influences one had on the other one. I was just reading that Elizabeth Lauson was one of Queen Mary's " Martyers" burned at the stake in Ipswich, England and how it was named later Ipswich, Massachusett. She was apparently waiting her turn to come over on an ship in the area. |

Won't be doing any shovelling though I've pulled a muscle in my lower back. I remember the days when I used to pull muscles playing sports, I did this getting out of a chair |
