Good Morning!....Yes, I'm reading about this snow..it's almost normal for some areas...I have pictures around of the the winters in the past and they were not snow free by any means...got pictures of North Dakota with snow up under the street lights. It will mean an good summer though...and that's about what winter is all about..preparing for it and putting up with it. It can be beautiful if your mind is so inclined.... and your comfortable otherwise. It's raining here at the moment...getting colder again also.

I am running into an problem with the old records vs the new records on people...they aren't the same. So its very hard for me to write history articles for the lies being told these days...as they are in every other thing going on these days also...don't believe much you see on the internet concerning your family history. I know when I knew people that had been in the genealogy business all thier lives  that never mentioned something... that it didn't exist probably.  I have that Giles Roges was burned at the stake for being an pretender...what he said is the truth if indeed George Lawson married first .Miss Rogers and secondly Rebecca Moore, George was living in the "mint" house for the treasury of England..beecause he was an Plangent at one time...and the new records say that an John Rogers was burned at the stake by Queen Bloody Mary...I picked John up at the same place I did one of my Lawson's ..with Admiral John Lawson's group making trouble for the most part...someone has changed that around now, then said that John Rogers was Benjamin Franklin's wife's first husband.. that deserted her...plus they have grouped this John Rogers with an guy named Mathews. Cotton Mathews was as the rest of his family an Puritan behind the Salem, Massachuests witch trials...I beleive he is the one that the Rev. Doedate Lawson says was his problem in "Boston"..his Thomas Lawson father helped to found Canterbury Church...an Templar Knight church at that. .The Rogers family founded the Baptist church out of Rhode Island and the "Rogerenes" out of New Hampshire area. At least the one's I am working with..there was an Thomas Rogers of the Mayflower though...might of been Puritan. As to Benjamin Franklin was Quaker...and Quakers ususally stayed to themselves....they were to persecuted to make it on their own. But when things got intolerable for them, they also joined the Baptists....Queen "Bloody Mary" as she was called persecuted the Protestants as she wanted Roman Catholicism re-instituted in England...by her dad's (Henry VIII) fighting with the church to get his marriage to Catherine of Aragon annuled...he also got his daughter made into an illgitimate daughter. She was furious. He had ensposed the Protesant ways to have his constant wives...and when she had  her chance.... she let her hatred for her father get unoeased to the people..she could not go back to her mother's family in Spain...thier fighting over the Crown there saw the Valois family go extinct also. Henry all but through Catherine Argon into the closet to marry Ann Boylen...she died more or less an pauper...no doubt another cause of anger by Mary.Catherine of Aragon's first husband was Henry VII's predessor as King of England...he had the marriage annuled on grounds of family forced "incest" with Catherine's marriage to him. I have read an lot of nasty stuff done by the rulers of the royalty in the world...but King Henery VIII of them all sounds just plain mentally "crazy" to me. He had th epower to snap  his fingers at any time andsnuff out an person's entire life and everything connected to him. Many times he did...and perhaps Mary's rule was an reflection of that she learned from him...so rather then call her an "Royal vicitm of birth" she goes down as "Bloddy Mary". I can not tell you how from the time they closed down the Templar Knights...the world takes an real dive in leadership in general...and more barbaric fighting over whose the leader and whose not. I see why many wanted to come to Colonial America.... to fight savage indians at times for their suvival...they weren't losing much from where they had left. Supposedly Benjamin Franklin kept his wife at low exposure because of this Rogers pre-marriage, afraid her Rogers hubby would come back on him...but being an Quaker woman she would of stayed to herself anyway. This religion has some of the elements of the "Beguine" women in Europe and she fit the role nicely over here. They are women that could well take care of themselves and did for most the time and fit right into Benjamin Franklin's fame and the Rev. War era..and the being the wife of an Masonic Lodge member..high enough to been an Templar Knight over in Europe in his day. But of course you know..people that know nothign about history are rewriting it on the internet by whom they want ot be related to by fame and money more then by the understanding of history. So it goes, those who didn't learn the lessons of their ancestors....get to repeat them...until they do perhaps.I think the bible says four generations pass working out the problems of society vs family.

It's good to hear that Ron and Anna got out for dinner somewhere also...the tip sounded just fine to me...many of the restruants over here tag on an 20 per cent surcharge to their bill to cover tips these days...waiteresses have to pay taxes on them anyway. Before I left Boston Market...one of my regular customers said he wanted to give me an tip before the place closed down...and placed an $5 billmade into an "ring" on my finger...surprised me. The "help" didn't say they missed me or the Restrurant...the people running it either...but I sure did from an lot of the people...with an gang of them saying I should come to work in their computer cafateria when they opened it up...when they did..... the place lost about 20 daily lunch customers at once...by then I knew them well enough to call them by thier first names and what having the "ususal" for lunch meant...and could ring it up without even having to ask them what to order would be.  So goes. Kenny told me that I shouldn't be so nice as to help this older woman carry her tray to an table so she could handle her cane easier..whom I knew...they didn't...her family ran our School system in town for many generations. Her relative came in an bought $50 worth of gift cards to eat there because she liked coming in...and I would take my break and we'd talk about the people times past and what happened to so and so. She usually came in after the rush hour of lunch and was no bother what so ever to me. Having regular customers that you can count on to me was worth it's weight in Gold to many of the younger ones they were an bother to be made to put up with I guess. One reflection of why the place went down the tube.

I go for now...enjoy your day everyone.... while I grumble about things.....Laughs^

Ok..someone has to save Ron's diet....I would post this over in the receipe section.... but couldn' t find out how to do that. Looked around though while I was there. This is one of the seven fish meals made on Christmas Eve night if your an Catholic..as they do an special Traditional meal amoung the older Italians.

It is...Crabmeat Ravioil with Clam Sauce and Garlicky Golden Roasted Potatoes with herbs.

Ron..you may have four raviloi on top of 1/6 of the auces and 1 cup of roasted potatoes for 272 cals. fo rthe fish...195 cals. for the potatoes and some sugar free peppermint cady and coffee with it all afterwards.

To make the sauce...heat 1 tablspoon olive oil..add1/3 cup chopped onions and 2 garlic cloves, minced...saute 3 mins or until tender. Add one 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes undrained..and  one can 14.5 ozs. no salt added diced tomatoes...bring ot an boil...reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Add 2 tabelspoons fresh chopped parsley, pinch of salt, 1 tablespoon oregango (growing on your window sill), 1/4 teaspoon red pepper, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and one 10 oz. can of clams, drained...simmer for 10 mins and set aside.

To make the Ravoli...combine...1/2 pound of lump crabmeat, drained and shell pieces removed, 1/2 cup of finely chopped red bell pepper,

and 2 tablespoons "Panko" (Jananes bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon chopped chives (grow, and growing on the window sill also), pinch of salt...after that add 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese, stir gently. Now you need 24 wonton wrappers or gyoza skins. Working with one wrapper ar an time. keep the others covered with an damp towel, spoon about on tablespoon in each wrapper and fold over inhalf..moisten the edges of the wrapper to seal shut. Repeat until all wrappers are filled. Fill an dutch oven with water and bring to an boil add half the ravioli and cook for four minutes. Repeat with the rest...serve the ravioli on top fo the sauce...should be about 2/3 cup of sauce and 4 ravioli on top.

Potatoes...Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Combine 2 Tablespoons chopped garlic in one tablesppon of oil...cook until golden brown and tender with an slotted spoom...set aside. Drizzle remaining oil over 4 cups chopped golden yukon potatoes...if you don't have them you can use red potatoes instead...coat them evenly  with the oil and place on a cookie sheet...single layered..sprayed with non-fat butter flavored non-stick spray..like Pam. add 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, same for ground black pepper. . Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden. Combine reserved garlic, 1/4 cup of fresly flat leafed parsely and 1/2 teaspoon of  grated lemon rind. ..sprinkle over potatoes..mix through evenly.....Serve. This is an under 500 calorie dinner and with this kind of food its not easy getting it under 500 calories...and still have an decent sized portion. You could add an fresh salad with fat free dressing also.

Just remember...the fella that liked that 9,000 calorie "Triple by-pass" Hamburger in New York.... is now dead. If you go out and walk for 30 mintues, you could probably wear off the potatoes in excerise alone. No more "partying" for an bit.

In fact I weigh a pound less at the end of your thread, that at the start. Great diet indeed! lol
