I just Googled 'singers who wear beanie hats' and amongst a load of females I ended up with Zac Brown and the Pope in the male category, no joy there then Laughing

Yes John, the answer is DJ Otzi. The song "Hey Baby (Uhh, Ahh)" was re-released in 2002 when it became the unofficial theme song for the FIFA World Cup.
