Will we be going into thread number 51 here soon? How's the microwave wave Rustyruth?....we need things like those at times to remind us of an civilzed life these days...though I wouldn't mind an small brick oven built to keep food warmed up and to raise bread. It could be pretty easily done in my kitchen right now..by putting an small vent out the back of the house for ventilation. Kind where you break up small slices of presto logs, or think over there they clall it "pete". Shove it towards the back and close the door and let it heat the surrounding bricks up ever so gently. Since my dining table wraps around the dining rrom wall and the living room wall and looks like an conference table/lounge...I have one end of it that looks into the kitchen as you enter it...this little "Oven" would allow an more gracious formal look to the area then seeing the kitchen itself. It might even be able to provide an small source of an fire in times of the early morning...and microwaves you have to keep hitting the button to keep things warm with...which requires "time" to the person having to do that. I store cookie sheets in my stove oven when notin use...but to have to heat the whole unit up for an small dish to stay warmed up consumes an lot of energy. BE great to use with pizza's and as I said..raising breads. Another one of those things they need invented I do suppose. They have an appliance that you can plug in these days to do it though..for 99 dollars...then you have to clean it afterwards also. Rustic charm to my kitchen doing it the other way.Behind this table will soon here be the huge long library bookcase downstairs from my grandfather via my mother's in heirtance. The thought these days of your ususal suburban house sends the jeebies through my soul....you know...little square livingroom...little square dining room..little square kitchen with an little eating area and two chairs...and everyting lookd little and square and ordinary. Why not an kind of rounded livingroom and outfitted to look like of libaryish with an huge lounge, where you can use the table as an desk, conference room, or lounge while watching TV, esp sports games...and an little live "fireplace" for warmth or the big one for an "crackling fire" needed during rainy days and cold weather. One promotes socialibity...the other keeps the pie warmed up..beside the coffee maker. Anyone can come in at any time to enjoy the room/warmed up food...as it has one big look to it all...not this square segregated "spots" to it. The Native Americans say we have an natural tendency to like things in the "round" because of the mother's womb..it brings "security" and comfort to our intellects. It is dark here now...where did the day go so fast?...heh.

I'd just be happy with more hair on top right now. |

Still no news on Peggy, this is worrying. Her son is posting on Flickr, he put some pictures on yesterday, that is if I've got the right person, but I'm certain I have. |
