There's an lot people can do to prevent strokes...I do it... for years now. It's called no fried foods...using pan cooking spray rather then fats, and using olive oil exclusively if possible...there's stuff like skim milk and fat free food also.  If you don' tlike doing that...don't consume an lot of meat and dairy products. BUT...you must have at least one teaspoon of fat three times an day in your diet to prevent Gall Stones from forming. There's also Bromlein/Tumeric tablets if need be they break up blood clots...there's low dose asprin...keeps your blood flow going....and drink plenty of water every day. I also don't eat real butter...fat free whip cream...little meat these days. If you have an stroke, they now have out things to stimulate your recovery faster...therapy to help you better also. But of course, prevention is the best way to tackle this. 14 weeks is an long time in today's medical practices.  Organ replants and skin tissue to re grow weak arteries is now possible also. Things aren't like they use to be.
