Without a doubt the same image Ron, just out of interest I have just copied both images to my PC and when scrolling between them them i had to check the image details to make sure they had changed. The transition from one to the other was seamless. Both images are showing as a 171 kb file sze. In essence no use to anyone other than for web use but that is not the point. You can call it 'passing off' but I still prefer FRAUD or even 'taking the p*ss'

Yes, I do recall a similar attempt to steal an image from another photographer on PoE. I have found my images occasionally turning up on other web-sites without acknowledgement, but to steal it and put it up on the same website seems a little stupid, to say the least.

If I find an image of mine has been used without permission on a not-for-profit site, then an e-mail to the Webmaster usually gets an acknowledgement to me and PoE. But in this case, there seems to be fraudulent intent.

As Ruth pointed out, her other images all show extracts of the EXIF info which as we all know is imbedded into the image at time of exposure. This one shows nothing. Suggest that you ask Chris or Sarah to interrogate the EXIF info......althought I doubt if they will find any.

C&S have enough to do Dave without chasing this sort of nonsense. I will deal with it and have already sent a second 'enquiry' which she hasn't answered yet. Either way the image on her account will be deleted shortly.

We shall see what happens.

A very recent new member Dave.

Why do they do it, why do they risk everything for such a small return, it doesn't make any sense to me!

Maybe being across the Atlantic she thinks she can get away with it ?

I agree Ron, why take such a stupid risk, but that's the nature of people, they just do.

If there's no reasonable explanation, which I can't ever see there being, then in my opinion there's only one option - ban her from the site.

Not all that recent Ron. Her profile shows March 2010, unless she's managed to change that too
