I took a picture image ID 1153909 and today another POE member, probably Chris or Sarah unwittingly approved this picture image ID 1186987.

The description reads Rose garden at Hever Castle in fact it was a Rose in my garden.

Could Sheri Mahan have chosen a worse person to steal a picture from, it's mine!

I am about to contact her to see what she has to say.

Good grief Ron, I've only a couple of hours back commented on her image, I've removed my comment until you sort this matter out.

Ive just had both images up on my screen side by side, no doubt whatsoever that they are identical. I wonder now about the other images, only reason I mention this is that the castle with the red vines down the side looked familiar when I first saw it and I've never been there.

The cheek of some people, theft is theft.

The image is mine for sure Ruth I have the original on my PC still and there are things about the picture that I can refer to, if required, that would even allow the amatuer sleuth to agree.

I have written to her and we shall see what she has to say in due course, but the big problem is how many more has she stolen?

All the other pictures in her Hever Castle set Ron show they've been taken with an HTC Desire, the rose has no such data on it.

The castle with the red vines was familiar to me because there are other shots on here slightly different.

I can see it's yours Ron, it's right here in front of me in all it's glory.

I wrote to her via the POE Contact facility telling her what a nice picture it was and asked if she knew the name of the rose and when was it taken, this year, last year?

Following is her response to me just a few minutes ago, let the fun begin!

It is for sale on POE. Just click on the buy this photo button.  It was taken in September of 2011. And I do not know the name of the rose, sorry.

Thanks for your interest.

Sheri

My comment will be withdrawn also. Have to say i did think it was a vastly different style of image to the others, but we all upload the odd different shot. But I certainly would be interested to see what she has to say. I'm pretty sure this would come under the category of FRAUD. I seem to remember someone else doing something similar but even though we were willing to give her the benefit of the doubt based on naivity she has not been seen since.

I think it would probably come under the 'passing off' law apart from copyright of course.

Maybe not passing off actually, but definitely copyright issue

I remember that one Dave, early last year I believe, I think it was Edward who picked up on it.

Can't wait to hear what happens next Ron.
