Evening everyone, welcome back James. We've just got back from Blackpool. David has been extracting worms from the beach at low tide for bait, and I've walked miles up and down the seafront, there was a lovely sunset this evening, I've taken loads of picture, let's hope some of them are OK Smile

No not far James, and as for the Golden Mile, who measured that ? We parked near the new tram station up by Star Gate, and I walked down the promenade to the other side of the Tower and it was 3 and a half miles, then I had to walk back. Is a mile measured different in Blackpool, or is there only a certain section which is the Golden Mile ? Smile

My legs ache now Undecided

WEll, well, well....guess what....they started up and "let's Go Camping" program for the state parks...for $30...you make your own reservations up to 9 months in advanceat selected state of Oregon Parks, and they call you beforehand and then meet you at the site with tents, sleeping bags, bag liners, sleeping pads, and camp stoves...all you have to supply is your food an clothing. You have any weekend of your choice in June, July, and August and it can be done in "group" camping also. Plus they have presentations like "Dutch Oven cooking"...."Leave No Trace" outdoor ethics, and  the 7677...checkin can be anytime after 4 pm. Fridays..or Saturday morning, if you only wanna stay oen night....see the campground ahead of time on the net and/or chose campsites close to the bathroom si fyou go ta lot of kids, and find out what there is to do there beforehand. Ask where the local medical clinic is, though they have all their rangers trained is first aide.  So there you go, Sue.....it says that yo can bring an group if you want to do it in an group. They do not allow, pets, alchohol, or electronics if at all possible. They want the people sharing an camping expereince.  My gosh..what will they think of next?...though I do suppose this is an way to help those just starting out that don't have the money for camping supplies maybe..or could use help if an single parent, or someone with an handicappped person, or an way for the grandparents to escape being house bound all the time. Nice day today..got lots done, talk later on.

Well, I see that was messed up...and here it was, I thought if any of you were coming over for the Rose Parade in June it might be an nice something to try out besides that expenisve motel room. Call your Oregon state Parks, they have an toll free phone number that someone took out of my text above. Oregon has no sales taxes also.

Hi James

Hope everyone has a good day today.

The photograph of the Blackpool tram brings back distant memories when we used to drive over to Blackpool from Saddleworth to go dancing at the tower ballroom they were great times long before any motorways were built, the roads and the lay-bys were very quite in those days.

All is clear on the Costa today wall to wall blue sky might just go for a walk on the Golden mile in Fuengirola and take some exercise.

Cheers everyone on the forum
