John Fox the seafarer was from that area, but he was around in Elizabethan times, plus I don't think he started a company so I can't see it being him Undecided

Need to do a bit of research I think Smile

I think I've found someone else, after ages searching around the internet I've come up with a man called James Pulham, born 1793, he started a landscape gardening company called Pulham & Sons.

Construction began on me in 1887, I cost £15 million pounds and it took 6 years to complete me.

1887 so i don't think it is a road, wouldn't take 6 years to make a road back then. Therefore am thinking water??? Relatively locay to you I think??
