A very wealthy and famous philanthropist who made a fortune in the United States gave gifts to a town in Scotland. The gifts included an expensive estate to be converted into a park, public swimming baths,a technical school and a free library. What is the name of that town?

Well done John. The answer is Dunfermline and that's where the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum is located.

The amount of money Carnegie gave away in the UK, USA,Australia, New Zealand ,Ireland,Fiji,Canada and the West Indies was amazing.
