Bailey is the obvious choice but would not think of him as a photojournalist!!

Martin Parr but probably too early for him

Not there yet Dave.

He is famous for his photographs of war and urban strife.

He also has out an excellent DVD, but that's probably no help.

The most obvious war photographer would be Don McCullin, one of my favourite all time photographers, but also Tim Page was around that era.

Yes John, if you do a Google image for 'McCullin camera' you will see it. It stopped an AK47 bullet ! ! !

Didn't go for him first as I thought it was too obvious an answer, but the war reference really meant it could only be him. A great documentarty on TV recently which is probably the DVD that Ruth refers to
