The Mason-Dixon line symbolizes a cultural boundary between the North and the South (Dixie).Waylon Jennings sang a song called 'Mason Dixie Lines'.

 The line was also mentioned in the song 'Sailing to Philadelphia' (James Taylor and Mark Knopfler).
