There was a lot of activity last week in the Lakes, all sorts of jets, trainers, helicopters, and a couple Hercules'. Apparently there was, maybe still is, a NATO excersize going on

That explains it then Dave, we've had a few passing over this week, most of them to fast to see properly.

One of the guys in the Rule told me of a website where you can find out timings for the various flying exercises, but I didn't write it down!!

I agree..the lanch should be launched for lunch. I had my brothers daughters over today for lunch, swimming and tampoline jumping and just playing in general. We see them about once an year in the summer so far...first grader and third grader. Seems hot today, but only got up to 90 degrees as predicted. We have high clouds out there now, but not thunderstorm type.

The month turns over here soon..where is time going so fast these days. Does not seem like the world is making good use of time in ways. I don' t doubt with all the chaos going on that people are getting an bit touchy If they can' t come up with any candidates to take Obama's place then they willl create another war or declare him an dictator ruler.But...I heard an man lasst night say "When America loses it's "goodness" then it loses itself... and all that freedom stands for"...kind of makes you think about things. He claimed he knew the future...it will all straighten out by 2036. By then the middle class will have rebound, but in an different way...he thinks there will be little emphasis on manufacturing..more on individual thinking, craft workings.. and the enviromental issues for employment. Good time to replace all the trees from the recent fires. Africa has lost 700 people dueto an ebola outbreak...let's hope they confine it. Perhaps Cathy is thinking of returning to England now.

Good afternoon everyone Smile

In answer to your question John, they do use the valleys around here, where we are situated built on a steep valley side sometimes it looks as though they are just outside the window. The Hercules was very low, but it wouldn't have appeared so low to the people who live in the valley bottom. I do worry about our chimney stack sometimes Smile
