I'ts not a top selling song, it is famous for the same reason Yesterday is famous. The song I'm looking for officially beat yesterday into second place in a particular category. |

The other part of the answer which I was looking for was that it is the most recorded song ever. There have been over 3000 versions of it made. Yesterday by Lennon & MaCartney is the second most recorded or covered song with over 2000 recorded versions in history.
