Good afternoon...hum..evening now...well..nearly. It's been an long day, was up at 4 am, went out to breakfast at 5:30 am...our scouts are chartered for another year. After that, the last load of wood arrived and will wonders ever cease...my son moved our camper to the other side of the house.  Tomarrow we go get the boat and then we wrap things up for the winter. Tomarrow my grand-daughter returns from an school outting to the San Juan Islands..near Vancouver B.C...just an bit south of it.  It's been raining here off an on today, so I don't know how she's doing up there... they were to try their hand at Kayaking. We bought her an "rain suit" just before she left, she might be getting good use out of it  by now. John glad to hear your feeling better, I took the other day off an slept and slept. This walking about 150 miles now since August kind of has me worn down an bit. I got off my diet, and still am working on that one with the ping-ponging going on about 2 pounds since last week in Sept...up and down...but it needs to be down and stay down. We now have LOTS of wood stacked against the fence. Easily 3 cords. But it's already cut..stacked and just off the back patio along the length of the house easily from corner to past the corner of it. It makes me feel good in an all electric house, cause we have yet to live here withoutsomething shutting us down at least an few hours if not days... as in the past. They are better now with all the built houses to see to it we are not forgotten...to many people to ignore the complaints if we don' t have it. Mind you all my neighborhood has underground wiring, but it don' t make an difference if an lead wire somewhere else above ground goes out. I still have one old line running behind our house and I've seen it blow it's "fuses" and shoot sparks clear across the yards one time out back...esp the transformer at the end lot. Just the guys and Christmas is finished and I know what I'm getting my son, and most likely if we can afford it another outting with hubby over his Dec. 31st birthday...just him and me.. most likely. So as the sun sets in the west, amid stormy looking skies..I bit your all feeling up to par, getting well otherwise, and talk to you later on!  Have fun at the carnival....

Hi John, on the mend I do hope sir. Trust Nic is still safe, seems there are a lot of storms that way then. Did you see the programe this evening about building a mk 1 Spitfire from ground up based on one flown by Geoffrey Stephenson before being ditched during the evacuation of Dunkirk.

If you mean the Spitfire , indeed- stunning workmanship. I did think though that the programme itself seemed to be as much about the presenter as the plane.

Oh dear Pat, glad you're mainly OK, funny how you protect equipment, even though they're probably covered on the house insurance anyway. David slipped down our stairs a few months ago whilst playing with the kitten. His first thought was to protect his ipad which he was carrying, It's in a virtually indestructible case anyway, it was fine, he was very bruised - ouch.
