I did my 5 miler today because it's my understanding we are about to have an week of rain, starting tonight..and somewhere around 2 1/2 inches up depending where you live, ususally the coast or the mountains inland from it get larger amounts then here, but we could use it. So I sweated it walking today so I can do house excerise and an resistence bike later on perhaps. I've been reading an book.."The Sugar Solution" ..has great looking receipes in it, but to understand the so called slow buring carbs, from the fast ones...the slow one help you to retain blood glucose readings more stable throughout the day. Plus this book has a goodie receipe collection for the upcoming holidays also. Iwent an bought some of the breakfast cereal they mentioned...causethis dietician that wrote the book says it's near impossible to get in an daily source of fiber with out it....and she says to eat an bowl of it, though an small one to curb hunger also...anytime throughout the day or night. Count on reserving 100 calories or there about for doing it. Your uppose to have 30 grams of Fiber daily and this cereal has 57 per cent of that..it's an bran cereal. One cup will provide you with 26 grams...and your done. I have other things to do and this walking sure does take up my time...so better get at them..have an good day and mend well... both body and illness. If only we had an decent "rubber baby bumper" outfit..for those days outside..smiles* (I'm having problems finding the rubber duckies they use to sell to wear over the tennis shoes these days also) |

Our eldest being in Germany means when they come they stay, I'd clean forgot just how much screaming and crying comes with a teething baby. They're taking him with them to Egypt on holiday next week. I wouldn't want to be on that plane for a four and a half hour flight. Edited by: rustyruth at:14th October 2014 17:11 |

Just knowing you had an place to "come home to" meant a lot for many people..,reguardless what the rest of the world dealt out to you recently. I just finished an muffin receipe out of this "The sugar solution" book and an Curry Apple Coleslaw for dinner. We all rather liked that one. The muffin receipe says it makes 18, but they tell you to use an 12 cup muffin pan...so I'm going to have to figure out the calories on the muffins...as to rather the 93 calories they claim is for 12 or 18 of them. Peanut butter/bananna mufins...need I say...they could use chocolate chips....evenn with the strussel topping. I think I can do better with the boughten already made stuff...like my "fiber one" bars. Esp on the chocolate. Loing day, so I best get going for now, besides my sister is here and hubby's at Scouts tonight. I need some time to relax. Have an good evening...rain hasn't really amounted to much so far. |
