But I decorate this two story house on my own pretty much an enjoy doing things without the holiday rush. One reason I've got my shopping done pretty much also, except for the local toy drives. they get more under way after Thanksgiving. I also find myself involved in outside things this year also..such as the weekend away and now alos possible an colon scan...nto to mention the extra cooking going on. I got an lovely "Thank you" card from my nieghbor on sending over some pumpkin bars and apple deserts to them, though they help me considerably also. She finally was able to retire also. It will no doubt not be to long before she has her days consumed by other projects. My book is proceeding along, the prophecy fulfilled now, she has had the future "King Authur"... and buried her first husband and remarried Uther Pendragon...she is an "Queen" and was an druid raised princess growing up. Will see what happens next...was able to get out yesterday to the store..but plenty of ice all over as yet. It's pretty well melted any place the sun has hit it though. It was so calm that it woke me up last night. the trees look they were enjoying the reprieve..but the wind is back out there this morning...amid light blue skies. There is still the winter cold "chill" for the most part. Birds were ravishing the feeder yesterday also. I guess I go for now...and trafficproblems are now an daily thing around here as well as someone dying from them daily..unfortunately here lately it's been an lot of inncocent young kids... that never knew what hit them. Have an good day..this thread will be the "Christmas Thread"..any of you got any Avatars dealing in Christmas? |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 06:58 on 16th November 2014 Well, looks like POE is back to normal again..if today was anything like what's coming up during the holidays..I'm glad I'm pretty well done shopping.Almost an 3 hour wait to pick up one yard of trim for an Thanksgiving banner over my fireplace. Hubby got me my Christmas present I wanted.. an new copier and it does it all. Sounds like though he's going to have to set up on his computer instead of mine. Big ole thing...so it might be better down there but it means I'll be on his computer also this winter. That is not an comfort to me. We have our own way of doing things. Thinking of staying up tonight and re-arranging the livingroom , it's not feeling "comfortable" to me right now...like something is out of place. That means cleaning out an bookcase and moving it over slightly and filling it back up again. I'll think about it an bit more before I do anything. You know, it's just got to feel right in ways..it's an decorating "sense" problem I guess. Just checking in on everyone, hope you all don't mind that. Nice fire in the fireplace tonight..Talk later on.
