I just finsished off Christmas this morning with the gifts for the Christmas "Toy Drive" ..got an Dolly for an little girl that's in an back pack, and an purse with things for the baby to carry and for the little guys...an pickup, pulling an ATV set up and has blinking lights and horn. One of the stores put their toys on sale for half price to help out people buying them for donations this year and that really helps things. A person can afford to buy better gifts. Then I got "Mary" an little something, as she's given us three movies already out of her stash of stuff...she has an wall collection of movies. These were brand new ones also. Hubby an I have not eaten alone on the Holidays seems like forever. Either had kids or relatives of the relatives... or someone. My sister... so she's not alone also...though last year she was wanting to just relax and had dinner closer to her own house with Mary...whose an neighbor...as it's an long ways over to go and get her... and take her back. Most surprising year was the year I had over the daughter in-law's parents and one of their other kids called them to come an get them, the dad put them on the bus to come into town and their mother never showed up to pick them up...found out later on she being an alkie, was on an bender as they say...and was in jail...picked up by the police...getting sobered out.. So the kids came over to my house an we all had Thnaksgiving Dinner together...as who doesn't have extra food usually...heh? Several years we've had an houseful of people here also. These days, it's my kids/family and sister at one of our houses and my brother has his daughter and her family at his house...two streets over from me. But we run back and forth visiting and having pie and coffee I guess you know. Last year Christmas Eve we spent some time with hubby older sister and family also...on the way back to our house.... from seeing Peacock Lane Christmas Lights. It's an bit different every year and yet the same. I'm glad to get this stuff out of the way..because cooking comes up next. I saved one of the stuffed pet toys, the dog with the silly smile on it's face... for the sister-in-law's pit bull. There's just something abut the face on this thing...I guess the expression...can imagine what she will do with it. Also picked up in my $5 movies this morning..Lord of the Rings and Charlie"s Angels. We have "nex-flex" on our TV... so unless they are low cost I don't buy them usually...as I can rent them for $3 from my own chair here at the house....hubby's Christmas present couple years back one year. Rain is all around us, but hasn't been here so far, they are saying later tonight probably. Possibly freezing rain up along the Columbia River area. How about Buffalo New York, did they ere get the snow....reddit .com has plenty of pictures...some thing 45 inches on the ground now. It's up to the waist of most 6 foot 4 inch guys to there plowing things down to find them..like their cars.Californians sending them palm tree pictures and swimming in the pool this time of the year...so they'd warm up some....feel a little better. I guess I best get going for now...see what I can get myself into for the rest of the day.

Yes, the streets are wet out there tonight. It finally arrived. I'm looking for my boots, so if you will all pardon me, though this might take into doing tomarrow...I will cross my fingers and hope to locate them. Then I can pack early and so far things are enjoyable and no rush, rush, rush to it. But I am off my diet also, because I'm not concentrating on it right now. I have to take it back up again...I'm ping- ponging again up and down 3 pounds. To many crackers in my soup no doubt...gesh!...not enough excerise either. |

Nice to see you Ron I'm not too good today, it seems as though I've got Gastric Flu, it started yesterday and just got worse overnight. David went to see the chemist and explained the symptoms, seem it's going about, so I'm on Ibruprofen to stop the aches and the fever |
