 All clues apply and of course it is Jasper.

   the Mole story is one of his most famous- it is on youtube a number of times.

As a prisoner of war I was presumed to have died and plans were made for a posthumous exhibition of my work. I eventually curated the exhibition myself ?????

I'm assuming we are looking at a photography exhibition and not paintings. I know Henri Cartier- Bresson was a POE in WWII, but I don't know if was presumed dead or not ? But he's as good a place to start as any Smile

Oh no Surprised I only thought of him because I came across the info when I was researching one of your previous quizzies and you know how some things stick in your mind.

A railway tunnel called the Summit Tunnel. It's located between Walsden and Littleborough in the Pennines.
