I remember when I used to work early shift starting at 6.00am being out at 5.00am defrosting the car, that was in the days before all the heated screens, mirrors, etc. In fact I don't think the heater even worked in my Mini It broke down at every available opportunity as well. |

Hood had it's foot of snow yesterday plus some down below the mountain...they said the wind chill factor up there is -15 degrees. So you see, better up there then down here in the valley. I had an Native American woman tell me one time that it's not to their nature to seek anything but lower elevations in the winter for living conditions...up high and flat from possible flooding creeks and rivers and landslides also..but lower elevations. She says even the "animals" know this much about where to go to winter over every year...and stay tucked into the forrest if possible. I've been watching the squirrel and the birds, I filled up the bird feeder yesterday. This morning finds me getting an love session in with my cat, he comes over and snuggles his nose into my chest, puts his head down lovingly.... and " purrs" all over me. He really quite likes "computering" with me also. Wind is already here this morning also. Some sun mixed in with clouds. I'm feeling lazy today with an long list of things to do...so better go for now. |
