I can't say I have a favourite, so many stunning pictures makes that an impossibility. But here is a picture that just catches my eye every time I see it. I don't know what it is either, as I'm not normally drawn to pictures with buildings in them. Still, to me this picture is stunning.

Ian. If you do manage to visit Ashness Bridge, can i advise that you visit Surprise View.  To get there you carry on over Ashness Bridge, up the single track road for about a mile. There is a small free car park there.  The view over Derwenwater is well woerth that short trip.  Good weather is a must. One of my pictures  from the'view' is attached.

Every now and then you come across a shot that really takes your breath away, and to me, this is one such picture. A really great shot Sue. From the way the mist gathers in the distant fields, to the way the sunlight catches along the gate, and the silhouettes of the leaves - a really breathtaking and inspiring picture

Thank you poe, I am heartened by your praise, especially as I would like to take up Photography.

Here is a picture I found in the Lastst Pictures section that I think is outstanding. The colours are stunning.

So many good pictures, such talent. I have been looking through the Sunset over England section and I just love these two pictures. The first one makes me think of the tree, Old Man Willow, from Lord of the Rings, except I can't believe anything that beautiful could be evil.
