But here is a picture that just catches my eye every time I see it. I don't know what it is either, as I'm not normally drawn to pictures with buildings in them. Still, to me this picture is stunning.

To get there you carry on over Ashness Bridge, up the single track road for about a mile. There is a small free car park there. The view over Derwenwater is well woerth that short trip. A really great shot Sue. From the way the mist gathers in the distant fields, to the way the sunlight catches along the gate, and the silhouettes of the leaves - a really breathtaking and inspiring picture

I have been looking through the Sunset over England section and I just love these two pictures. The first one makes me think of the tree, Old Man Willow, from Lord of the Rings, except I can't believe anything that beautiful could be evil.
