I'm having a day out later in September to Heartbeat country with our Heartbeat Walking  Group (wer'e all Heart patients -----bypass/heart attack/ angioplasty  ----who attend excercise classes at our local hospital and those who wish can  go  walking each week)

We are going on the N.Yorkshire Moors railway---steam locomotives run for 18 miles between Pickering and Grosmont,  which is near Whitby, through some very picturesque countryside. I hope the weather will be kind!!

By the way Wolf, if you're an OAP in England you qualify for FREE bus travel----so I can travel from home to Whitby -about 60 miles-for nothing---so old age has some benefits!!

I cant get a bus pass because I get mobiliy allowance and free road tax. With the cost of petrol now, I may be better off getting rid of the car and going for the pass. But then again, I would have to try and walk from the buss stop or train station. Oh well, stay as I am I think.

Thanks Lyn! It's about the size of a two pence piece, really tiny, I would have walked straight past it if it hadn't flown. I must have looked a right silly you know what chasing it along the bank of the canal!

I like that kind of silly.

You should see me chasing leaves in the autumn, because if you catch a falling leaf you can make a wish.
