 Oops BIG bloomer there. I should have said St Michaels Mount. Put it down to old age.

No Ruth, St Michaels Mount is in the south of Cornwall. There are quite a few photos of it on here. It is an island just off the coast. When the tide is out, you can walk along a causway to it. But when the tide is in, you have to get a boat. Basically it is a big rock in the sea and sitting on top is a fortified building.

Looks like a great place to visit, Peter.  And yes, it looks like a good cardio workout to make it to the top!  That's how Clifford's Tower in York was.

Can anyone tell me what to resize a pic to for use as an avatar?  Then, perhaps I'll get round to doing it one day, soon, although I really don't want to frighten anyone!
