In new money, I think that's 2,137 millimetres---which means nothing to me, a bit like weight in kilograms; meaningless and don't have a clue.

I'm with you Paul. I remember learning the metric system in Primary School (in the Hut) I remember the chart around the wall, but I don't know metric now. Of course we don't use it over here in the U.S. and when I come over and go to the butchers (Cricks now that Samuele's has gone Ron), I always ask for it in pounds. I figure they can work it out.
