Peter:

The cat actually looks this way all the time! It belongs to the landlords of a cottage that we rented for two weeks in Lillingstone Lovell (Bucks) in October 2006. My wife and I referred to it as Killer Kat and it seemed to like that particular dust bin perch where it could see down the lane and still survey the back yard.

That's so strange, Lyn, because that was an earlier post of mine (see previous page).

So, Richard, when do we get to see some of your photos here in POE?

I don't know about the gull Ruth. They have a four year plumage and so will be the last bird I ever tackle when it comes to identification.

I wonder if Andy would know. ANDY, where are you????  I know about the computer problem that Ray told us about, but you can only let that keep you from us for so long. WE NEED YOU!

And Ray, that picture is lovely. I lived up on a hill when I grew up, and loved to watch the fog rolling in. Great picture!
It looks very much like a lesser black-backed gull (larus fuscus) in its' first year. Black bill, mottled brown back, it can't be anything else! I'm here Sue!!! lol.

Hi Rob. I dont remember seeing you on the forums before, so a hearty welcome. Pleased to meet you. Now you know why I dont like cat's. A killer cat? Wow. I would give that bin a wide bearth. Lol

Now that you have found your way into the forum's, pop in for a chat anytime. We are all quite mad but harmless and friendly.
