I thought you may enjoy this one SueH, I hadn't heard it since I was a child, but it brought back some memories.

I'm surprised you had not heard 'We Plough the Fields and Scatter' Ruth, maybe it's an English hymn? We sang that every year at harvest festival. I'm not at all religious as you know, but it always brings back childhood memories when I hear it.

I think both those hymns are English from way way back Lyn.

This is the picture I remember seeing on file, I've saved it now and put it in my favourites.

You guys are coming throguh. Thank you.

Will listen to your YouTube later, I'm not even suppose to be on the computer this morning, but I couldn't resist a look in on my POE.friends.

No, I'd never heard it Lyn.  There are probably a lot that are common only in England, although I have heard "Come Ye Thankful People Come" - the one that Wolf posted.  We often sing that one at church on Thanksgiving Day.  Do they have any Thanksgiving Day holidays in England or Australia?  I know Canada celebrates theirs in October.

Both those videos have shots of my favorite part of England (at least so far) - Yorkshire!

Sue - you'll want to check out Latest Pictures from today.  Lorraine posted this one especially for you and it's a beauty.  I love the silhouette effect and check out the birds:

How funny! I came here to post this picture from Lorraine, after trying to decide which one of the two to post. Only to find that Ruth posted the other one.

I love the fact that they are in shadow.

Yes I do love it Wolf. Another heart warming hymn for harvest time.

And did you see those wonderful displays of Chrysanthemums!! WOW!

Gosh I can almost smell them now. Oh, the mixed smell of chrysanths and musty church.

HOMESICK! HOMESICK!
