I have just been gazing at Roland's picture, and now I'm as homesick as ever.

I just love the hymn We Plough the Fields and Scatter, I sing it to myself, especially at Autumn. It is so quintessentially English and evokes fond memories of my growing up years surrounded my fields.

So I am going to ask a favour of our English members, can you find me a nice country field being ploughed or having just been ploughed. (if it was misty that would be an added bonus), but I'll take anything that reminds me of the Autumn harvest.

Right sally forth my friends, I'll be here waiting (and I will be very patient as I know it may take weeks).

Here is Roland's picture

Here's one Sue, I took it last year not far from where I live.

Wonderful Lyn! Isn't it just a lovely scene, a tractor ploughing.  Thank you.

Lyn has started the ball rolling, keep it going.

Peter, that's a wonderful picture. Talk about ploughing the fields, certainly going back a bit before my time.

And Lyn, I thank you again, what a treat to hear a choir singing my favourite hymn. I think it's time I downloaded it onto my ipod too.

Hi Sue:  I found one:

What a great hymn!  I'd never heard it before.  Thanks for the link, Lyn!
