I missed all this too, Jason!  My Gran always told me, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."  Anthony, you had the option of simply leaving the site quietly, never to return, if it didn't live up to your expectations.  As someone said above, it's your loss.

I have just come across this thread and I am simply amazed that someone can say such things about this wonderful site! I thank God (and of course Chris and Sarah!) everyday that I came across this site quite by accident and now it is a constant source of joy and occupation in my spare time.Whenever I feel bored or depressed I log on and I am completely cured within minutes!

Anyway Good bye Anthony.I agree with Barbara above that it is your loss rather than our's!

Anthony's loss, not ours. In his 2nd sentence of initial introduction he states this site didn't live up to his expectations....boo hooo for him. he can't control from a distance. His loss, not ours.

Yes, a stark contrast to his comments only two days earlier where he was singing the praises of POE!

I've often wondered "why" it is that some people have to be so mean. I think they really aren't happy with themselves or their own lives and they seem to get some sort of weird pleasure by attempting to pull others down with them.

I don't participate much but I do watch most days, see what's going on with everyone, look at the new photos etc.  I think I would ask Anthony "What is it you want? If what you are looking for isn't here, why not just go away quietly"

Why not take a look at some of the really beautiful photos on this site and compliment those who took them.  Very few of us are professional photographers.  Some of my photos are crap, were taken before digital cameras, had to be scanned to get them on the site, but they're mine and all were very graciously accepted by POE.

We're not writers either but we contribute articles and they post them.  Chris and Sarah have done a wonderful job.

I read your post when you joined and it wasn't that long ago.  Makes me wonder "what" you're taking.  I take that back, now I sound like you.  Can't say that any of us will miss your attitude but as you go to other sites, just take what is valuable to you and move on quietly.  There really is no need for your rudeness or attitude.
