If we continue West towards the Weald of Kent we will come to TENTERDEN which has a Museum about the town's history, Hole Park Gardens, Smallhythe Place, the home of the actress Ellen Terry, and the Kent & East Sussex Railway - a mecca for railway enthusiasts.

Further west is the town of ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, made popular by royalty visiting for the waters at Chalybeate Springs.  These can still be visited as well as the area called Pantiles. Nearby is the picturesque town of Groombridge.
