Thought it would be nice to take a saunter through Surrey with its incredible Surrey Hills which are "an area of outstanding natural beauty" with stunning views and spectacular scenery.  I was a little surprised at how many towns/villages/attractions in Surrey have no descriptions or no photographs or don't have either.  I think it would be great to repair these deficiancies if we can!

We finished our KENT tour in Westerham and will now journey to OXTED our first port of call in SURREY.  Oxted in Surrey & Edenbridge in Kent hold an Annual Show.  At Oxted we will find 17 & 18 Century cottages, The Bell Inn dating from the 15th Century and the Church, with beautiful stained glass windows made by William Morris,  with 13, 14, 15th Century features.  We can also visit Titley Place & Gardens a 16th Century property.  However, I couldn't find photos of any of the above to show you.  I did find photos for The Old Mill on Spring Lane & Spring Lane Pond and Oxted village

Moving on to DORKING which is close to Leith Hill & Box Hill Country Park, both National Trust areas and both providing fantastic views.  We can also visit Polesden Lacy, a Regency Country House also cared for by the National Trust, Denbies Wine Estate (Englands largest vineyard) and Micleham Priory

BOX HILL COUNTRY PARK (NT) View over Dorking

We walked around Box Hill when we were children taking a ramble with our parents. As we walked down the side of Box Hill I slipped and rolled down the hill, inevitably being stopped by a rock!!  and concussed myself.  Still don't know how my parents coped with that!

From the pretty little village of Cobham we will wander through ESHER and have a look at the 20th Century modernist house The Homewood, and visit Claremond Landscape Garden
