I was a little surprised at how many towns/villages/attractions in Surrey have no descriptions or no photographs or don't have either. I think it would be great to repair these deficiancies if we can! We finished our KENT tour in Westerham and will now journey to OXTED our first port of call in SURREY. Oxted in Surrey & Edenbridge in Kent hold an Annual Show. At Oxted we will find 17 & 18 Century cottages, The Bell Inn dating from the 15th Century and the Church, with beautiful stained glass windows made by William Morris, with 13, 14, 15th Century features. We can also visit Titley Place & Gardens a 16th Century property. However, I couldn't find photos of any of the above to show you. I did find photos for The Old Mill on Spring Lane & Spring Lane Pond and Oxted village OXTED (The Police Station) Picture by Graham Godfrey OLD MILL on Spring Lane & Spring Lane Pond Picture by Graham Godfrey

We can also visit Polesden Lacy, a Regency Country House also cared for by the National Trust, Denbies Wine Estate (Englands largest vineyard) and Micleham Priory DORKING Picture by Ricardo Malagueño Picture by Ricardo Malagueño

As we walked down the side of Box Hill I slipped and rolled down the hill, inevitably being stopped by a rock!! and concussed myself. Still don't know how my parents coped with that! |
