You could go for a sling bag. Very good when on the move.

Anyway, choose one that feels good, looks good and holds slightly more than you think is needed.

Sling bag is another good idea, part backpac, part shoulder bags.

Suggest you visit a shop with your gear and they will help you with various options, but as Rod says make sure you get one bigger than the gear you have now, you will be surprised whart else you will accumulate..

When I clicked the how did you hear of us button - it only gave me "other" as an option apart fronm the usual advertising places, funny as there should be a Mr.D John button.

Perhaps we should email them and get Dave added to the list Vince Smile

I will be looking for a sling bag, backpacks I find a bit of a faff keep having to take them off. It will have to wait until we get back from the Lakes next week, unless I spot one on our travels.

Just noticed this last entry Ruth so maybe a bit late now unless you go on your way home

But would definitley recommend Wilkinsons in Kendal, in the main Westmorland Shopping Centre. Have called in to them several times on my way to Ambleside, a very friendly and helpful bunch

Cheers Dave. We are here now, but will call on our way back on Wednesday. The bag I'm using has just about driven me to distraction today. It's zips are all in the wrong place, in fact everything about it is wrong, it's a Samsonite too, I don't know who designed it but I think they must have had their mind on other things.

The website shows a good range of manufacturers but personally I would be looking at Lowepro or Manfrotto

Just out of interest Lowepro has a factory just to the north of Kendal but not sure if the have a sales outlet. We used to bring fabrics in from Holland for them. Very expensive stuff that went into the manufacture of Kevlar

Still waiting for my order so no polarised shots this bank holiday. SRB showed my order as dispatched the following day to my order but I guess having a bank holiday in the middle it is understandable. So not too much camera work this weekend- just green finger stuff although that did provide inspiration for a couple of shots.
