Hi Ruth

I just checked some of my images John had left a comment on, & you are right as they seem to have disappeared ? I share your concern ... unless he has deliberatly taken them off of course ? & wheres Vince of late ? Most unusual?

Me to just checked and the same is noted. If you look at the Shooting in Raw thread way down the bottom of the list, the first page and a half is me answering myself with no questions to answer, Just does not make sense, and that was a thread that John set when he was going to give RAW a try and I helped him quite a lot on the thread

Sorry Martin forgot to add Vince is on holiday in Cornwall, seems we all like a bit of time away this time of year

I tried to read the RAW thread again because I intended to try it now I've found the setting on my camera, but as you say Dave it makes no sense whatsoever now. Quizzy is all messed up too, mine was the last post but it's gone, I can't remember now whether it was my quizzy or I was just answering someone else Undecided John would never just leave Martin he loved it here, quizzy was one of his favourite threads. Shame I can't find his email address or I'd ask him myself.

Something very fishy is going of here, I'm not happy.

Ruth if we can just go back to the cleaning issue of the thread. If you are going for a lenspen do not go cheap, you will be applying it to the front element of the LENS. I have a couple both by LENSPEN and cost about £10-12. The small cap on the end of the pen replenishes / reactivates itself inside the screw on cap. You simply hold the pen with the small black pad on the front element of the lens and work ir round to wards the centre in a circular motion. So easy, not expensive and in eyes vital.

Thanks Dave, I wasn't intending going cheap, we have a saying here 'buy cheap, buy twice" I've seen the LENSPEN ones during my searching, they look a lot better quality than some of the other ones. I was looking at Amazon but they often sell things as branded names that turn out not to be so. I'll have a look in our local camera shop Janet Greens in Halifax and see if there are any in there, if not I'll find a supplier on the Internet.

OK Dave thanks I'll shall have a look at their web site.

Just another quick question, I'm keeping a couple or so of those silica gel sachets in the camera bag and one in the case which holds the zoom lens, is that OK ?

Yes I never throw them away, in fact I claim them from people who do

They simply absorb moisture, so no problem, just make sure the bags dont break as the beads will get everywhere

Hi again Ruth,

Thanks for starting this Topic................. I have just realized that one of my lenses does not have a 'Protector' filter. I ordered one online today.

 Cheers, Patrick.
