I lived in several different places, Etobikoke, Mississagua, Downsview, then Oshawa, London and Niagara Falls. This was way back in 1980-81.

 Sue,

I imagine some things have changed a since you lived in T.O. If i may ask, were you a student then?  I haven't been in there in about 10 yaers, since my son was an infant. I still have close friends though who visit me whenever they can. My little cottage (rental) in the country is a popular summer visit!

Hi Peter,

 Thanks for the welcome.

Hello Rose, wellcome to the site and to this forum. I spent a lot of time in Canada, up in the New found Territories, as it was known then. But manely in Newfoundland and Labrador, wonderfull country. This was many many years ago.

I have a friend who knows something about Cob Building I will try to find out about it from him and E-Mail you any results I may get. Glad you like the site.

Hello Rose, I served a mission for the church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) for 18 months in Ontario. I loved it there, though didn't have any chance to do the usual tourist stuff. I did pop out for a day to Niagara on the Lake when living down there, and fell in love with it.

Bonjour Rose!

I love Quebec, though I've only been to Quebec City once! My youngest daughter is a fanatic though and hopes to go there next year as an exchange student. Her goal is to be a French teacher in a French immersion school. I also love cob building also straw bale, but I'm afraid I can't convince my hubbyCry. I think he needs to go visit some "proper" ones in jolly old!

Here is another site:
