...I am getting a much clearer picture of the Cob Cottage now, thanks to the links you've given me.

 Roland, Meg, ... It seems that the coast of British Columbia is where its all happening cob-wise... in Canada. I was living there 4 years ago and thats when I first heard of Cob.   ...Why did I move I am asking myself?

Quebec has some good "alternative" buliding going on, but mostly straw-bale techniques.         Rose
