Diana, I live in East Yorkshire, only about 30 miles from York (which is in North Yorkshire). I've very recently posted a few pictures from York here.

Sue G.  I adore "As Time Goes By", it comes on the PBS channel here every week day at 7:30pm, just in time for me to get home from work and prepare dinner.  A very enjoyable half hour to relax with a little chuckle. And don't you just want a tea pot like the one Jean has in her kitchen?

I am also very fond of "The Vicar of Dibley", "All Creatures Great and Small", "Ballykissangel", "Waiting for God", and a host of others.

John, Cape Cod you say?  I've been there only once if you can believe it.  But you know what they say about the natives, don't ask them anything because they won't know the answer, and I would add they never visit their own back yards!

Roses, What part of Massachusetts were you from?  Do you still have family in the area? Where do you live now?

Andy,  Is living in East Yorkshire anything like I imagine it to be based on my viewing of "All Creatures Great and Small"?

Waiting for God and, Last of the Summer wine are two of my fave's. I would love to go out with those three for a day. Sadly Bill Owen and Brian Wild are both dead now, but what a great half hour they gave us. If ever you get a chance to see Last of the Summer wine Diana, I think you would love it.

Vicar of Dibley is one of my favourites, but thinking back quite a few years ago I liked Citzen Smith. Not many 'comedies' on now to match the ones mentioned already. All we seem to see are repeats of repeats.
