Hi Denzil, luv.  I think the best way to keep the cat in the bag would be for us to meet halfway.  I just can't come to Redruth right now.  But you know what?  I think Aunt Miya's place in Georgia would be about half way between you and me.  Whaddya think?

That's in America.  And it's hot there right now, unlike summer in England.  And the mud's red there, just like Redruth.

Ewwweeee!  Ruth an Denzil y'all come to Possum Holler now ya hear?  I make Bobo give tha ole pig sty a good sweep out an we throw some clean hay down on tha floor an y'all have a right nice little place ta sleep.  Only ya gotta share with Queeny (that be the sow what cousin Cletus gave us when he come a courtin' our little Gracie).  You have ta be careful round that ole sow Ruth, she probably take a liken to yer fella.  She likes fellas but not gurls, ain't sur why. We finds out one day whens we sent little Bobbie Sue and Billy Joe out to shuck some corn fer supper.  That ole sow saw Billy Jo and started gettin' friendly like, but then she laid eyes on Bobbie Sue an lordy, yew ain't never heard such a racket as made tha pig when she took off after Bobbie Sue.  She chased Bobby Sue clear round tha house, Bobby Sue a screamin' all the ways.  Billy Joe was a laughin' but then Frankie tha Bantum Rooster saw Billy Jo, an he don't like Billy Jo. Everytime he see em he jumps on him an starts peckin' at his head. So nows we got Queeny chasin' Bobby Sue and Frankie chasin' Billy Joe.  Anyways, y'all come, ya hear?

Hi Y’all!

How y’all doing?  My name’s Miya Buttreaks.  I don’t know none of y’all but my great niece, Diana, told me that all y’all was lookin’ for somebody to help y’all with your romantic woes. So dry your eyes little’uns ‘cause Aunt Miya’s here to get you through the door of the love shack!

Well now, I reckon I should tell y’all a little about myself so y’all will feel right telling aunt Miya about your love woes.

I was born in the south eastern portion of these here United States in a little ole place called Possum Holler up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia.  My great, great, great grandma was a match-maker back in her day, and so it has been with all female kin in my family ever since.  Well, except Diana with her high-falutin’ ways up there in the big city.  I had her a nice fella once and she turned ‘em down cold for no good reason. He was a right nice man and rich too.  He owned a mess of hogs, two cows, some sheep (they all walked a little funny), and he even took a bath when it was time to go a courtin’.

My husband, Beauregard Buttreaks (Bobo for short), and me have been married for more years than I can remember.  The picture I’ve used for my avatar is a picture of us on our weddin’ day. I guess y’all can tell I had a bun in the oven back then!  Wasn’t Bobo handsome girls?  Lord, he could make my heart flutter!  And that’s what I want for each one of y’all; someone to make your heart go pitty-patter! (That little bun turned out to be our first boy and we named him Cooter.)

Well enough yappin' about me, I am sure if y’all have any questions you won’t be shy about askin’.

So, now it’s your turn; write to aunt Miya and tell her what weighs on your hearts.

xoxoxo y’all!

Aunt Miya

I'm new here also, welcome, it looks like they are keeping you busy with your advice, I use to have an bit of an problem, you see when I asked an new prospective employee to fill out her application for an job, she she did so telling me that she was getting married an needed the job to help with expenses, and on our application forms there's an place for you to fill out whom to contact in case of an emergency..and she put down her fiancee' and beside the word "relationship" she wrote so proudly..."Yes"
I did not hire her, but I sure have remebered her through the years...you see I didnt' have anyone back in those days like you to consult...so I was totally perlexed by the situation. I at times in today's world, like the simplicty in the thinking at times now. We each have an valuable place in the world and much knowledge in things to offer each other in life. I haven't' slopped hogs, but I've raised rabbits, quail, ducks, besides the ususal domesticalted animals. this use to be an cow pasture here where I live now when I was an child. They have put in over 1,000 new houses, and two new schools in 30 years. Enjoy your country style living while while you have it.
