Hello All,

I just joined this site yesterday and this is my first time on this forum. A little about my background, I am British, but I have lived in Thailand for almost 23 years now. I was an electronics/computer engineer by trade, but I lost one of my legs and almost my life in a very serious road accident here seven years ago. In recuperation after the accident, I started to write and I had my first book, ‘Legless in Thailand’ an autobiography under my writing name of John McMiken, published almost two years ago. I find now that I enjoy writing and I have written many short stories on my websites and have ideas for more books for the future.

I find this website to be very good, it shows the best of England the way I remember it and viewing this site for the first time yesterday, I found that I actually missed some parts of England that I was reading about, this is a first for me, because usually I never think about England in my daily routine here in Thailand.

Well, I shall end this first input here and I hope that someone will take the time to read it.

Cheers for now.
