Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the welcomes and for the encouragement to fly.  Ron, that is a great incentive you offered me.  Thank you.  I found a web site run by a pilot who helps people overcome their fear of flying, so maybe one day.  Krissy, I'm from Allentown.  I grew up in the coal regions in a town called Tamaqua (Indian for running water). Catherine, I have lots of relatives in the Silver Spring area.  It's lovely to chat with you all, have a god day.

Mary Ellen:  I too am an American, who longs to live in England.  I would trade my new house for a thatched roof cottage, with flowers all around.  I have learned, through many years of family research, that nearly all my families came from England, so I am have many English genes.  I have decided to pinpoint all the shires where they lived and make a map of it.  It is becoming an interesting project.  I am a new member too.

Mary Ellen:  My English ancestors all came to America in the early 1600's.  The early New England history books are just full of them.  Richard Sisson helped found Portsmouth, R.I.; John Crandall was a founder of Westerly, R. I., Samuel Gorton founded Warwick, R. I.; William Arnold was the father of the first Governor of R.I.  They apparently were very busy people, and intermarried among themselves, and they were all English.  It is no wonder I admire England so much. Krissy, I think I was in Bangor for one of my daughter's softball games.  I have heard of Mt. Bethel.

Mary Jo, you have an impressive family tree.  They were busy?

Hi Maryellen:  Me too, Scranton.  I live in Arizona now.  Welcome to POE!  Keep joining in the forum, the people are great.  I hope you get brave enough to follow your dream some day.  We went to England for the first time last year and it was worth every minute of a long, dragged out 10 hour flight.  I'm half Irish too, so we also spent a week on the Old Sod.  Had to hit both countries whilst we were in the neighborhood.  But at least you and me and all the other "Yanks Who Love England" have this brilliant website, so we can visit every day, even if only vicarioulsy.  Enjoy yourself here, Maryellen. And Happy New Year!
