Hi Everyone,

I am a hopeless Anglophile from Pennsylvania.  I'm 50 years old, have been married for 23 years, have a daughter 21 and a son 19.  I work from home as a medical transcriptionist.  I love reading and watching old movies and, of course, I love England, just about everything about it.  I came across this site by googling England about a year ago and just never got around to registering.

I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone involved with this web site to know how much I appreciate it.  I am afraid to fly, so I will probably never get to England.  Therefore, this site is the next best thing for me.  Not to be too dramatic, but some of the pictures are so beautiful that my heart actually aches looking at them.  I think England must be heaven on earth, and I am really grateful for this site and all the effort put into it.  Thank you all very much.  Happy New Year.

Maryellen

Mary Ellen:  I too am an American, who longs to live in England.  I would trade my new house for a thatched roof cottage, with flowers all around.  I have learned, through many years of family research, that nearly all my families came from England, so I am have many English genes.  I have decided to pinpoint all the shires where they lived and make a map of it.  It is becoming an interesting project.  I am a new member too.
