Michael..http://www.aviastar.org/air/germany/ju-290.php  this site shows some Junkers transport/observer  'heavies' ..sturdy...reminds me of DC 3's still used in the Canadian north country.. by Air North..Whitehorse, Yukon...ever see any Beaver or Otter aircraft in Britain? Have a look at Tofino Air, British Columbia....they've got a 50's ~gorgeous black and silver Beaver...

You might be interested Anna that just south of where I live is where DeHavilland flew his first aircraft---which ultimately crashed, so back for a re-design and away he went. His dad was formerly the vicar of a local church I once photo'd a wedding at.

Geoffrey De Havilland's cousins are the famous actress sisters, Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine, formerly Joan de Havilland.

Anna, I don't know if you have this info, but there is a aircraft museum/clearinghouse in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA. I do know they have info on aircraft from around the world, and each year they have what they term' A Fly In' from pilots/planes from around the world. I only offer it as an additional search site, should you be interested.
